Mahathir fired Apandi for closing the 1MDB case .... when the PH gov toppled, Apandi sued the gov for wrongly terminated him from AG post, the current gov settled the case outside the court by paying Apandi 2m+ (can't remember the exact number) .....

is not sure whether Mahathir was wrongly fired him or as Mahathir said gov has the right to terminate wrong doing gov servant ...... whatever, Apandi gets 2m+ without going through court hearing procedure ......

Thanks to the ideology of communism at that time so China had managed to unify the people when the situation was so bad. Not to mention any earlier catastrophic of conflicts with western power, even Japan was highly ambitious to invade China. The nationalists in China, has the good intention but they could not garner the support as much as the communist. So the victory was given to the communism, where the masses/peasants gave their overwhelming support. But, remember, communism was not founded by the Chinese/Russians but by the Jews/wicked jews.

Today, we say that the Manchus/Ching dynasty was not from the Hans Chinese, but they defeated the Ming Dynasty. The Manchus were assimilated into the rich culture/civilization of the Hans Chinese over they period of their ruling. Communism was conveniently used to establish a unified China. Perhaps, later communism ideology could be replaced with "Chinese ideology" to govern the country.

What's ironic is China wanting Taiwan to join the PRC, despite not having been able to provide Chinese the same living standards as what the Taiwanese currently enjoy. China needs to at least fix their house first. Otherwise, they're just asking the Taiwanese to downgrade.

Firstly, there was God's constitution. The Creator gave the rules, commandments, laws and the precepts.

Any violation of the commandment, the Kings/Emperors/Sultans would pass the sentences such chopping the heads of the criminals or stone to death without going through lengthy court proceedings as the result of those "runaways" from the Kings.

Boils down to the people, not with one man that can rule for life. If most of the Taiwanese want's independence, that says it all.
Hong Kong, if given the same freedom, by the looks of it they would have preferred independence.
There is a lot of things that are happening in China, that are hidden, no media freedom, etc., a country where you can't criticize the government/leader says it all.

Tecnically China and Taiwan is still at war whether you like it or not and the only thing from an all out war is Mainland China hope upon hope one day Taiwan will unite with China peacefully.

Taiwan people need to know this fact and decide for themselve whether they want to talk peace with mainland China or risk a war with mainland China.
