while Malaysian include 300k security personnel, but other country even Korea have 500k army. UK civil servant 6 million, France 5.5 million, Germany 4.6 million.. not include their arm forces.
The Singapore Public Service employs about 150,000 public officers working in 16 Ministries and more than 50 Statutory Boards. Within the Public Service is the Civil Service, comprising about 86,000 officers working in the Ministries. Its not 86k only ! - not include 50,000 arm forces - small island, no need to cover huge jungle and kampung/rural area.
KYY should do a thorough research and then draw his conclusions..Not having a biased view and trying to substantiate it ..Such a approach is prone to serious mistakes.. The defination of what constitute the "civil service" is different in different countries..Secondly one need to look at the types of free and subsidied services provided by the government...Should compare the quality of services like security, education, health, public amenities and other public goods offered by different countries to make a proper assessment..
If you're going to deceive, at least do it intelligently. Consider the numbers: soldiers, police officers, and teachers in Taiwan, including those working abroad. Taiwan only counts those employed by the federal government. On the other hand, Malaysia includes state government, local government, and statutory bodies in their counts.
kky might be an elder citizen deserving of some respect from younger others.
But I think he also needs to start learning to spare some respect for the sensitivities of others that he is sharing his country with. And not be spewing anything he likes from his bitter butt sore arse about some sensitive topic as and when he feels like some ranting and raving.
Okay, about his thread topic, let's take a close neighbour of ours on the southern edge of Asia, namely Australia.
There were 2,430,400 public sector employees in the month of June 2023 comprising: 350,300 employees in Commonwealth government (including defence force personnel); 1,871,900 in state government; and. 208,200 in local government.
That means that for a country of only 27 million people, Australia has a per capita public sector staffing ratio of close to 1 per 10 people, which is substantially higher than what he has spouted for Malaysia.
"while Malaysian include 300k security personnel, but other country even Korea have 500k army. UK civil servant 6 million, France 5.5 million, Germany 4.6 million.. not include their arm forces."
Excellent counterpost from you, dude. Good for calling out some of the BS continually being spewed and spouted by KYY about this country.
