My niece recently got an offer with one of the top 5 accounting firms in Msia and she will only graduate next year. I was surprised that she managed to get an offer exceeding RM4,000 pm.So, maybe selectively, some jobs still paid well for fresh graduates and also if your results are good. On top of that, she can always get a job in Spore at similar salary but in S$.

certain jobs are paid well...like KH6996 mentioned, accountants are paid highly cause their work is hectic and have to OT for most of the time. My cousin also gt called back to work on Saturdays...big4 firm
While mine...science based, starting salary was less than 2.5k only...for most interviews i went, they just lowball the offer
Thats why, we the victims of science courses are telling ppl not to study science, Malaysia seems to focus more on service industry 😂😂 think of the cost of petrol and tolls since factories are not reachable by public transport zzz

It depends on who the employer is.
Majority of companies in Malaysia are Chinese and family owned.
They have been around for a long time and imagine the relative circle through birth and marriage. Outsider wanting to survive and climbing the ladder in such companies is like asking the camel to pass through the needle hole. You wouldn't know who is working with you. 😀 Good luck if you survive in such companies.
