Because the price dropped suddenly from 7.50, many people think this stock is 'cheap'. But recent reports showed deteriorating earnings. and for the whole year, do u think the economies of malaysia, indon and thai will improve? also, what about 'taper'? what about 'rising interest rate'? what about share dilution?
be afraid, my friends.

Its PE is a low 12 and dividend yield over 4, much better than keeping your money in the bank. Another plus point is EPF has bought over 30 million CIMB shares over the past year. RM 9 should come sooner rather than later.

According to the research arm of local investment bank MIDF, the disposal of local stocks by foreign funds also accelerated last week, with a total of RM1.1 billion taken out of Malaysian stocks in the week ended February 7 alone.

“The intensity of daily foreign sale increased last week. Selling was heavy last Tuesday, after the break.

“On the day, foreign investors sold net RM555.70 million, the highest since Aug 21, 2013,” MIDF Research said in a note published by The Star on its website today.

Tracked back to October, the amount of foreign outflows amounted to RM10.45 billion or approximately RM580.5 million for each of the previous 18 weeks, according to the research note.
