Abudance ... Expected high NPL from "sub-prime-like loans" is probably the main fear and of course the lack of solid policies by the Government to turn our economy around is clearly a reason for fitch to down grade. Cash may just be King again
Charles, Mbsb FD is 4.2% I'm told. Also, quite lenient .. Giving 3 months off fr paying back loans cos govt servants don't get sacked for non performance at work. BN ruling to curb personal loans is what's affecting them. As that was their growth generator. Do they need to look at other ways to make revenue. They should come up with an announcement as to when they paying final dividend. Special dividend was in may. If people know when next dividend is ... Those who bought low may juz keep to collect dividend. Thought it was naughty of maybank to do a sell call on cimb when its own shares dropped 24 sens when I saw it earlier this morning!
Abudance, MBSB is substantially owned by EPF. They will know how to deal with their core businesses. Afterall I doubt they will be able to compete with well managed commercial banks but I also believe their interest will be well protected "politically"
Damn good results. Revenue 614M, PBT 247M (40% of revenue), PAT 215M (25% of revenue). No dividends though. Hope the CEO can brief how they will sustain its profit.
@ Jerry.. EPS better.. Profit good.. Loan Asset increase..NPL reduce.. KPI meet target.. buy buy... dividend give later still ok.. on track to become bank..
