KUALA LUMPUR: MBF Holdings Bhd's shareholders may see up to a total gross RM1 dividend declaration per share in the next two years as the group intends to dispose of more non-core businesses.
This is inclusive of the 40 sen franked dividend that shareholders would be rewarded with from the proceeds of RM623.4mil from the sale of MBF's subsidiary, MBF Cards (M) Sdn Bhd, to AMMB Holdings Bhd.
The group intends to pay out the remaining proposed 60 sen per share in the form of special dividends; dependent on the success of the sale of its non-core assets. “It is our intention to distribute special dividends whenever we sell off any assets,” MBF group chief executive officer Tan Sri Mogan Lourdenadin said.
Big Boss Dr Ninian holding 86.14 % MBF share. and 82.96 warrant .Last year MBF dispose MBF credit card for 623 .4 Million as he promise to give special dividen 0.30 cents or more. I foresee he will declare more than 0.30 special diveden very soon. Imangi he hold 86.14 % share if he delcare higher diveden he the one most benifit from disposal of MBF card. Recently Dr Ninian keen to buy warrant as he can not buy mother share due to min public shareholding spread. Both mother and warrant share are limited in the market hence easy to goreng with special dividen news. Dr Ninian keen to buy warrant share cause demand more than supplier and warrant price surge to yealy high. Maybe they going to announce special dividen before CNY or before election to boot up they price. Just watxh out this counter for CNY any pow....

Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ninian Mogan Lourdenadin stirred up MBF-WA, purchase MBF-WA on 22, 23 and 25 at average cost 23.6sen, 29.1sen and 37.3sen respectively. Now, Tan Sri gradually is in the midst of disposal, disposed MBF-WA at 39.6sen......
he tried to privatize before back at 2010. At current if he wanna privatized again it is much more easier than before base on his current holding %, just exercise his warrants, for sure the holding going to cross 90% threshold
I think MBF will first declare special dividend, franked 40sen to shareholder, boost up Tan Sri cash hoard first, then only opt for privatization through selective capital reduction/repayment to minority shareholder.
In these way, Tan Sri only need to payout small sum of its cash proceed from special dividend to minority shareholder and warrant holder, without the need to convert all its warrant before expire date on 20May
Congratulates to those who had bought in earlier, don't rushing to sell at this level. This is the first round, wait for another round at about RM1.80. This is my personal opinion. I may be wrong.....
Yup, really have to salute these people for their steel nerves. Never expected MBf to go up to this level after already having done so some months ago.
Kindly be advised that at the request of the above Company, trading in its securities will be suspended with effect from 9.00 a.m., Wednesday, 6 February 2013 pending the release of a material announcement.
Those who bought below 1.30 will be very safe and profit if MBf go for privatization. Because this Big boss Dato is very stingy person he may offer very low price to privatiize MBf . Do you still remember 2010 dato offer 0.66 cents to privatize MBf and not succesful ? all because of this stingy guy offer too low price.... hope this time he can offer 1.70 or more since got 632 million after dispose of MBF card...
Last time Tan Sri offer 65sen were much higher premium at about 28% 5days average MBF market price/32% premium than 3month MBF market price.
The offer premium was even higher if take into account special gross dividend of 10sen (7.5sen nett), which effective give rise to offer 72.5sen.
The offer eventually turn down in EGM, as minority shareholder augur that MBF should at least offer match with its NTA, 92sen (2010)or even higher if MBF carry revaluation process.
