Dickyme, private health care providers serve a certain niche market, i.e. the sick from among the part of society who can afford to pay a certain premium over the standard rate for what they perceive & believe to be a certain higher standard of health care services.
It is certainly not for everybody, for sure. People who opt for it are not of the type & wealth level who go back complaining about having had to pay 'an arm & a leg'.
If you're unhappy about people happily paying extra for higher level services for their health care, then you should also be complaining about:
1. People happily opting for a cab instead of using a bus or train or motorcycle or walking 2. People happily visiting a high end restaurant or a hotel to have lunch or dinner instead of the nearest hawker centre 3. People happily staying in luxury condominiums instead of ppr flats 4. People travelling on business class instead of economy class 5. People putting up in 4 - 6 star hotels instead of 2-storey coffee shop hotels 6. People patronising deluxe spa centres instead of having their body or foot/leg urut with roadside bawah pokok mak cik or pak cik 7. etc. etc. etc. 8. etc. etc. etc.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
