Answer is quite simple

CBIP has 34% gross margin while TDM only 21%

CBIP has p/e 6.5 while TDM is more than 10

By all yardsticks CBIP will grow faster than TDM for a long long time

Like this

If I bought 2 Rm100,000 shophouses

A gives 34% yield or Rm34,000 a year

B gives 21% yield or Rm21,000 a year

In 10 years A would have given me Rm340,000

And B only gave Rm210,000

If I invested all the rental & compound them how much A will excel over B?

So go for CBIP rather than TDM for better yield anytime

Good news is at least company got use plenty of cash to expand their business. Bad news this company manage their business not so good , whY , turnover from 2013 to 2015 around 200 mil turnover , profit range from 4 to 8 mil or (2-4% return ) . Tdm also never tell us what price paid for this deal , is it undervalued or over value ? Besides , never explain how they buy this company ? Private replacement or right issue ? Borrow money from shareholder or use cash ? Lack transparent of this company ...

Yup..Not enough info to comment whether it's a good or bad acquisition because it is on an HOA.

Lonaldo Lo, can't say TDM lack of transparent as it is only a HOA. It is good for them to announce.

It is a Peninsular palm oil estate so it will be at least RM90k per HA. So you calculate lo, how much will the transaction be? It's a lot of money.

In peninsular with this side of land should be 1 hectar approx rm 50-60k. 11.5k hectare or 28.5k acres should be approx 600 mil . Increased share approx 42% approx 250mil , so be frankly , tdm probably will borrow money from minor share holder by private replacement , right issue ..but tdm got 3 times bigger than that mentioned company + 4 hospital , so that company should not buy above 300mil ..
