TDM is planning to split out their Medical business as another listed company. To do that, one must consolidate their financial statement and all the account. Hence, we see so much of restructuring for TDM recently. One of the quickest way to "clean" up the account is impairment, they just assume it is a loss (bad to see in report however it has no cash depletion effect to the company), once everything is ready, TDM is going to rock again.

To my understanding, the cleaning is not due to the listing of the Medical units, the impairment is to clean the book by the new appointed MD.. This is common practise for new management to clean the book when taking over the company. The listing of the Medical unit will definitely boost the value of the company. The medical stock in KLSE fetch a very high P/E... It is good time to buy when they are cleaning the book,,,ADVISE BUY..

ylr, i dont know abt that. but surely business looks good. hospital is located in indera mahkota, where the population is good. patient cars queuing outside the building all the time.

user, the dividend and the bonus issue, which one will come first?

Example:-

If I got 100,000 share, I will get RM500 (100,000 x 0.005) as dividend first, then get another 10,000 bonus share; or

I will get 10,000 bonus share first, then get RM550 dividend (110,000 x 0.005)

Q1'17 quartertly report released:

1) QoQ 17: Group revenue of RM113.9 million for the quarter ended 31 March 2017 was 17% higher than reported in the preceding corresponding quarter. The Group recorded higher PBT of RM28.7 million in the current quarter, compared to loss of RM5.3 million in the previous corresponding quarter.

Annualising this quarter earnings and the stock is 90m net profit. That means it's trading at 11x P/E. Quite cheap for a plantation / hospital company
