perhaps need to refer to microbiologist or health expert that covid19 will disappear without vaccine. glove/ppe/SOP help minimize infection/reinfection but cannot eliminating the virus....my 2sen worth of opinion ...

from my understanding, the report only says dexamethasone reduces rate of mortality for severe patients...but doesn't say eliminate Covid19...so still gloves & ppe are essential in hospitals & everywhere else..

Read the article properly before commenting:

Dexamethasone:
-For patients on ventilators, it cut the risk of death from 40% to 28%.
-For patients needing oxygen, it cut the risk of death from 25% to 20%.

The antiviral drug remdesivir, meanwhile, which appears to shorten recovery time for people with coronavirus, is already being made available on the NHS.

This means that both drugs can prevent disease progression besides saving live. This means the length of stay of patient in hospital is reduced and therefore demand for glooves are indirectly reduced as well.

By the way, about 2 years ago, I posted an article to criticize our bloated Malaysian civil service. We have the most civil servants per capita in the world. The government employed 1.6 million civil servants, almost all of them are Malays; 1 civil servant for every 19 citizens. I was grilled in Jelapang police station, Ipoh for 2.5 hours. The police did not arrest me because what I said was the true.

Commentators’ responsibility:

The management of i3investors allows people to use pseudonyms (pen names) so that they can express their thinking freely. They can say what they like. But that does not mean they can write nonsense. All commentators or writers must take responsibility for what they write seriously because many readers can be misled. Yesterday when all the glove stocks plunged, I was shocked to read a few criticisms that I have mislead them. For example:

How could I always tipu Legend when on 1st June, I first posted my buy recommendation on Comfort which was selling Rm 1.08. That can only mean Legend was so stupid that he did not buy Comfort at Rm 1.08 and bought at higher prices or at its peak Rm 4.20. I did not post buy recommendation when the price went up too much too quickly. Legend must be leaking his wounds and crying like a baby. How can Legend blame me for misleading him?

that apek kyy quite stupid about civil servant. cannot compare with other countries coz different definition..most did not include their army (secret number), and certain type agencies. also, most countries privatize their services, as such need to pay extra. diff nation diff nature. .. look at education and health..you still want to reduce the number when no of teacher = 20-25 pupil, same goes with doctors/health personnel. !!! ..
uncle no issue la can pay private school and private hospitalization . ..no of teacher, doctors, police must increase parallel with no of population. the more the better!!
