Sold all my Carlsberg I bought in year 2018 yesterday @37.00 yesterday. I'm not saying that Carlsberg not good, just that all the positive factors already price in base on recent price rally. In fact investors already given much premium to Carlsberg Malaysia if you compare beer companies worldwide.

Govt mulls RM100,000 fine, 20 years' jail for drunk driving

BUTTERWORTH (Bernama): The government is studying the need for stiffer penalties for motorists found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as well as for dangerous driving and causing death, with a fine of up to RM100,000, says Lim Guan Eng.

The Finance Minister said besides the fine, the jail sentence for the offender will be increased to 20 years from the current 10 years.

"The government is looking at amending the penalty under Section 41 (of the Road Transport Act 1987) for those who cause accidents leading to death due to driving in a drunken state,” he said.


Lim was speaking to reporters after visiting the family of Khairizul Mohamad Noor, 39, who died in an accident on Sunday involving a motorist who was believed to have been drunk.

He said currently, the penalty was a jail sentence of up to 10 years and fine of up to RM20,000, so the amendment to the law was necessary because of the high number of deaths from road crashes.

He said there were at least 7,000 recorded fatal road accidents each year and the rate of fatal road accidents in Malaysia was among the highest in the world.
Earlier, Lim who is also Member of Parliament for Bagan, presented Khairizul's five children with a donation of RM5,000 at their family home in Jalan Hj Mohd Saad, near Bagan Jermal, here Saturday (Feb 15).

"The state government and agencies, including the Welfare Department, as well as the Bagan Parliamentary constituency office, have donated to this family, and I convey my condolences to them and hope their mother regains consciousness and recovers soon. We will continue to help this family,” he said.

In the 5am incident on Feb 9, Khairizul died at the scene while his wife, Zuriana Hasan, 36, was seriously injured and is currently in a coma at the Seberang Jaya Hospital.

In the accident, a car driven by a man believed to have been drunk crashed into the motorcycle the couple were riding on at KM140.2 of the North South Expressway heading north, at the Bukit Mertajam exit to Perai. - Bernama

Totally disagree saying that if PAS in power, avoid alcohol stock. The SOLID and REAL alcohol factories are here in PJ and Shah Alam. They invested the brewery plants not just 1 or 2 years, more than 40 over years. If you buy when confirm PAS not in power, you always buy at highest price. That's the different. I'm once a shareholder for Carlsberg, at current stage i would rather invest in Heim rather that Carlsberg.
