Destiny, thanks very much for educating me! Much appreciated, will read during bed time! The fact remains Genting Nwrhad is behind the curve. Market is usually ahead of the share price action, but not in the case of Genting, which if the market was looking ahead it would be around 5.37 plus! By the way I don’t drive Rolls I invest in their shares, which excludes cars which is another company altogether. With your excellent investment knowledge you must be investing internationally?

Let’s hope GB breaks through RM 5, and stays above before CNY. In my reckoning meaningful rally in price should take the price beyond 5.37 and the catalyst could be the full year results, on February 23. There will be profit takers along the way as we have witnessed so far. Foreign institutional investment is the key.

Michael Chan, thanks for sharing UOB analysts insight on Genting underperformance in relative terms. We all agree on this forum that Genting is a very good recovery story and has very good prospects given its leveraged position. I am heavily invested, but my concern is with related party transactions as well make up of shareholder base, which has no doubt impacted the performance. Let’s hope CNY, brings robust share performance matching Gentings undoubted prospects.

Related party transaction some time is good for shareholders! with Tuhan tolong!
Remember years back, Genm used to be the major shareholders of Genting HK, LKT forsaw Cruise Business will be running well in future and wallop shares owned by Genm.
LKT reshuffled and moved the direct shares owned by Genm to his Kien Huat holding co and subsequently distributed extra ordinary gain of such disposal as special dividend to Genm shareholders. At that particular time, A lot of Genm Shareholders were annoyed and got out of Genm. Who knows, blessing in disguise, due to Covid 19, Genting HK faced liquidity and ended up winding, Genm is not affected at all.
