I try to return a favor to his MMC recommendation but alas I chose the wrong refinery and now he is trapped high and dry in HRC.

From Annual report:
The Company recorded a total revenue of RM21.1 billion in FY2022 compared to RM12.0 billion in FY2021. The increase in revenue of RM9.1 billion or 75.8% were attributed to a 58.9% increase in product prices that averaged at USD125/bbl, coupled with 9.4% increase in sales volume supported by better market demand.

In FY2022, the price of Brent crude oil averaged at USD101/bbl.

So I am right that the refining margin/crack spread was USD (125 -101)= USD 24/bbl for FY 2022.

The queations then why HRC only make miserable:
Current Cost of Stock margin (CCS) of USD0.47/bbl (FY2021: USD3.44/bbl) and gross profit margin of USD2.47/bbl (FY2021: USD 7.23/bbl) including the effects of crack swaps.

NEW YORK May 3 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks ended lower on Wednesday, reversing gains after comments by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell left investors wondering what the U.S. central bank's next move would be with interest rate hikes. Indexes initially held onto gains following the Fed's statement. It increased interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point, as expected, and signaled it could pause further hikes.

The unanimous decision lifted the U.S. central bank's benchmark overnight interest rate to the 5.00%-5.25% range, the 10th consecutive increase since March 2022.

Stocks started to swoon after the press conference following the statement. Powell said the Fed still views inflation as too high, and said it was too soon to say the rate hike cycle is over.

"The Fed continues to walk the tightrope, and that is they're trying to strike a balance between their inflation fighting credibility while trying to engineer a soft landing," said Michael Arone, chief investment strategist at State Street Global Advisors in Boston.

Since insas has net cash of more than rm 900m....the increase in OPR will increase INSAS income earnings potential by Rm 2m for insas loh!

Insas is just like the bank mah!

April 2 (Reuters) - Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) on Sunday posted record quarterly vehicle deliveries, but quarter-on-quarter sales growth was modest despite price cuts as rising competition and a bleak economic outlook weighed.

Tesla delivered 422,875 vehicles for the first three months of this year, up 4% from the previous quarter. This was 36% higher than a year ago. In January, Chief Executive Elon Musk said Tesla could achieve 2 million vehicle deliveries this year, up 52% from last year.

Investors have been watching Musk's gamble that cutting prices would stimulate sales, although they worry about eroding margins.

In January, Tesla slashed prices globally by as much as 20%, unleashing a price war after missing Wall Street delivery estimates for 2022. The basic Model Y that used to sell for $65,990 now costs $54,990.

"If they wouldn't have done the price cut, it would have been ugly. I think what it tells you is the economy is getting tough," Gene Munster, managing partner at Deepwater Asset Management, said on Sunday.

The key point is.....how long & sustain his kukuucaiii can last leh ??
Maybe says 2 hrs....if veli veli strong....but it cannot last for days or years mah!

Thus avoid kukuuucaiii type of investment....like TESLA which can sustained high...for a short period loh!

Go for slow & steady growth type like Insas that grow & sustain for years loh!

The lesson here....avoid kukuucaiii type of investment that can not last loh!

Although it can be hard for a short while but it can never last mah!
