Can someone enlighten me on why VT is always called an old fox/conman?Everywhere I met those old investors all had nothing good to say about him. Their advice is to stay away from his counters. Can see until now his listings have no support even though it is very cheap aka "undervalue". Am very curious on why it is so.

wbwananbe, you can look back past 10 years graph of Bjcorp and other BJ counter. See how many investors are loss their money in these counters while others counters are making money.

bjcorp owns approximately 72% of bjland. To privatize BJLand, BJCorp needs to acquire approximately 1.4 billion shares. A per share offer of 0.60, 0.80 and 1.00 respectively, BJCorp will need to spend 840 million, 1.12 billion, and 1.4 billion respectively. It would be a stretch to BJCorp balance sheet if it were to acquire 7-11 as well.

We refer to the following articles that were published in today’s the Star Biz newspaper, the Sun Biz newspaper and the Edge Financial Daily entitled:-

Vincent Tan makes his move. Tycoon plans to take private 7-Eleven and BLand, list U Mobile and hotel business;
Berjaya Corp founder/executive chairman also plan to delist BLand and sell Four Seasons Hotel in Kyoto, among other corporate moves; and
Vincent Tan to restructure his business empire. The plan may involve privatising 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings and Berjaya Land.
The Board of Directors of Berjaya Corporation Berhad (“BCorporation”) wishes to clarify that the abovementioned plans including the delisting of 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Berhad and also its subsidiary, Berjaya Land Berhad are personal idea and strategies of Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun who is the deemed controlling major shareholder of BCorporation.



The Board of Directors of BCorporation is not aware of and has not deliberated any of the abovementioned plans or proposals including the delistings.



In addition, the Board of Directors of BCorporation also wishes to clarify that the Management of BCorporation are still in negotiations with potential buyers on the possible sale of its Four Seasons Hotel and Hotel Residences in Kyoto, Japan and have not entered into any definitive agreement. An announcement will be made once agreement is executed.

u think becoz compensation coming in..he will need to rush?...he can easliy defer all compensation if he requested...who wouldnt heed a request to delay compensation...dun simply assume he need to rush to delist bjland ...but 711 he can dispose all his shares at a premium...and that requires bulk of kyoto proceeds...if to delist bjland he wouldnt need so much money...
