A company related to BRG Group of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nga spent VND 1,244 billion to acquire 75% of the 5-star hotel in the West Lake.

Malaysia's Berjaya Group announced that it has signed a contract to sell 75% of TPC Nghi Tam Village, which owns InterContinental Hanoi Westlake. The value of the transaction is VND 1,244 billion, equivalent to more than US $ 53.3 million.

The buyer is Hanoi Hotel Tourism Development Company Limited, a new business established at the end of October 2018 with a chartered capital of VND658 billion owned by Mr. Tran Trung Tuan.

Mr. Tuan, a senior personnel working at many companies related to BRG Group as a member of the Board of Directors of Dong Phuong Sea Villa and Hotel Company (owner of Sheraton Da Nang), chief accountant of Thang Loi Hotel . Previously were King Valley Companies, Motor NA Company

The remaining shares (25%) of the hotel located on the West Lake water surface belong to Thang Long GTC, a state-owned enterprise equitized in 2015. In addition to InterContinental Hanoi Westlake, Thang Long GTC also holds shares. at many other joint-venture hotels in Hanoi.

Although the state still holds nearly 45% of the shares, the current chairman of Thang Long GTC is Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, head of the BRG Group. BRG King Valley Company is also a strategic shareholder holding 27% stake in Thang Long GTC since this enterprise was equitized.

In the transaction, Berjaya was also repaid a $ 71.6 million loan from the hotel owner, bringing the total amount received to $ 125 million. This loan is restructured through a new loan agreement between the hotel owner and SeaBank. This is the Russian family bank that owns and controls most of the shares.

BRG is a multidisciplinary group but stands out for high-class golf and hotel projects. In recent years, this group has actively participated in the equitization of state-owned enterprises such as Intimex, Thang Long GTC, In Tran Phu, VEAM, Hapro ..

Recently, BRG attracted attention with the joint venture with Sumitomo Japan to develop a smart city project of more than 4 billion USD located on Nhat Tan - Noi Bai road or a 12,000 billion VND real estate complex in the City. Vung Tau.

In West Lake, Russian companies also hold a controlling stake in Thang Loi hotel. In the middle of last year, the hotel was a 36-storey new building owner, but the authorities said the proposal was not consistent with the regional plan.

With Berjaya, this group has invested in Vietnam since 2007 with a series of large real estate projects, concentrated in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. However, last year, they sold their shares in the largest projects in the portfolio of projects of Vietnam Finance Center (BVFC) and Berjaya Vietnam Village Project (BVIUT) in Ho Chi Minh City for domestic private economic group. Berjaya Vietnam still owns 50% of Sheraton Hanoi hotel shares and 70% of Berjaya Long Beach Phu Quoc hotel.

In addition to real estate, Berjaya is an investor and operating Vietlott Lottery Company in Vietnam in the form of business cooperation (BCC). Vietlott is a 100% state-owned company and Beryaja receives a part of lottery sales. The value of this contract is 210 million USD and lasts 18 years.

Theoretically, yes, minority shareholders should consider selling bjcorp shares to buy bjland shares, a no brainer. With VT, though, it can a disaster... my personal opinion

Anyway they listed under mergers/acquitions dated 30/1/2019, BJLand as their target project...as confirmation of Uncle Tan's privatisation project & the need to keep the 5 days average share price low through a roadblock to determine the second round offer price from BJCorp?

Yesterday Penta was surrender back those Bj Corp shares to UBS who pass their Bj Land shares to Penta for them to deal with Bj Corp, with ratio of 1.26 times.
UBS just receive back their portion of shares from their agent who deal with Bj Corp.
There in't any out market buy/sell deal on this 50 million shares.

My purchase price was at 0.07, on paper, i already making a profits of
=> (0.125-0.07)/0.07 =0.055/0.07 *100= +78.6%

Beside KNM, my komark also flying, closed at 0.225 (+0.015) (+7.1%) ! Brilliant !
