BAT biggest problem is illicit cigrattes...

With the economics downturn and consumer budget constraint...smokers will cut cost and turn into cheaper ciggrattes...

Some illegal dealer went as far as selling online ...provide door to door deliver service.

With uncertainty of our politics....im doubt ..their priority on this illiicit ciggrattes issue

Travel lockdown(reduced duty free sales)...bar and entertainment center closed.....

Uncontrolled of sales and marketing of e-ciggrattes...and etc....have a big impact of BAT

Its a HUGE mountain to climb to remove all this obstacles...

There are a lot of choice of stock out there.... that provide 5 -6 % dividend.. i will give it a pass on BAT..

This is to catch those selling off their shares early in the morning and hoping to buy back cheaper and making a profit. They do this daily to try to make a contra gain. Sometimes, they may get trapped by their own folly.

1Q20 core net profit fell below our/consensus expectations on lower-than-expected sales volume during the MCO. Consumer down-trading will continue in light of lower disposable income in the near-term. High illicit share of 69% may also persist as Government enforcement efforts are redeployed to controlling the COVID-19 outbreak. Our FY20-FY22 earnings estimates are cut by 19%-30% to derive a lower DCF-TF of MYR13.50 (-MYR4.00) based on unchanged 8.6% WACC and 1% LT growth.
