what i meant was unless he pare down his holdings in TA. So far he has accumulated a few million shares at 0.67 and 0.69. He should know better how much this stock is worth in the coming 3 to 6 months time. If not he wouldn't be accumulating shares in the open market at 0.67 and 0.69. Having said that, it could be a protective measure to protect his rights in the event of a hostile take over. But I believe as long as the major share holders buy back their shares, there must be something that is worthwhile for them in terms of monetary value to make the decision to buy back . Therefore, if we r hoping for a short term upside, I guess we have to look elsewhere. This counter is for mid to long term.
Bear in mind that TT acquisition cost is rather slow as his previous purchases were as low as 49.5 sen. The recent purchase price at around 69 sen is only a very small percentage of his holding.
Don't be too pessimistic. Every one was very optimistic at the beginning of the month. TA's NTA is over RM 1.60. If it drops to 50 sen again, buy aggressively. It will claw back to above 70 sen again one day. Even if this happens two years later, you still stand to make a handsome gain, much, much better than keeping money in the bank.
with this kind of sentiment, you see all the research anaylsts won't pop out their news so regularly....these analysts always bullish when market is good, when market is lousy, they kept mum...makahai!
Kutty123, that is why most investors (punters?) lose money. If you are convinced that a company is good, buy its shares if they have dropped to attractive levels.
with the depreciation of the ringgit lately which is the worst performing currency in south east asia, this situation will be positive to tagb. tagb hotels in australia, canada, singapore and thailand will register higher earning due to the lower ringgit.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
