anyone knows how many days will the share buyback be? it seems that if OSK were to utilize the dividend from RHB (around 50 million), this can continue for at least 80 days?

For share buyback, there is a limit or ceiling set by Bursa Malaysia. The maximum OSK can buy back is 10% of total shares I.E. If 2billion shares is fully paid and in circulation the max allowed to be bought back by OSK is only 200m shares

Every trading day there must be enough sellers to sell their shares in order for OSK to conduct their share buy back.

Olh get the free warrant, and he and his family is the largest shareholders of OSK. He is not in hurry to convert the warrant, as he does not need to protect his interests in OSK. Why he wants to push up the share price, and let others to cash out at higher price.

Actually for OSK, sharebuy back is better than dividend.. the ratio of share price increase is higher than giving dividend with the same amount. This is due to lesser queues for every bid.

This is why I keep saying after buy osk at lowest prices like me you can sleep and no need to worry because osk for me is long term like 2 years.
Another long term company for me is Ytlpower Mmc Tomei Mkh
Tomei Mmc now is very cheap
Tomei Mmc
Ytlpower I buy near bottom but if you believe Ytl still can sapu .
Hope you guys can earn some money from long term company.

OSKH only used 3 mil++ to push up the share price for 9.5%, guess it will use at leat 30mil to do share buy back.

i really doubt this stock buyback is going to drain OSK's cash position much. 3.++ million ringgit vs just the latest dividend from RHB of around 50 million ringgit. nonetheless, in terms of "bang for bucks", share buyback provides a much better value proposition vs dividend.

I guess OLH is planning to rescue the warrant. By increasing the dividend payout, it wouldn't help much on WC price, since WC holders will not entitle for dividend. But by share by back to raise the mother share price, it will help to boost WC price, though it may sacrifice higher dividend payout.

i just hope OLH continue to mop up the excess shares from the market. i take it as a good sign that OLH realized that the funds in OSK can be better used vs keeping it in money market instruments, and in same time giving chance to small time investors to realize their investments if they choose to. At least OSK price is now at 1.03 vs 0.93 a week ago

OSKVI is smallish a firm vs OSK, so can understand why it has risen faster. Still begs the question of what is in OLH's mind.

OSK is super profitable with assets to back it up. Hopefully OLH does something positive about it, like a spin off or divest part of the assets to realize the asset's worth
