Are you sure the IDRP price is 65 cts ?. beco it say this

to elect to participate in the Reinvestment Option by reinvesting the entire
Electable Portion in new Units at an issue price to be determined ("Issue
Price") on a price-fixing date to be announced later ("Price-Fixing Date");

Subscribing to the IDRP is a no-brainer due to the 10% discount. It is like getting back the 10% tax that is deducted from the dividend.

Hektar really is one of my the stable and safe investments that provide remarkable return for this CNY

Shopping malls continue to see rising foot traffic. This CNY provides a significant boost to the retail industry.

Pergerakan yg mantap pd harga 80 sen sana akan berterusan minggu ni saya rasa

Posted by rahulsk1947 > 2023-01-17 11:24 | Report Abuse

is this reit worthy to buy at 0.805? dont want a scenario where, buy now, after dividend payout, the price crashes.. :(

definitely worth. Depending on your holding power and current share price is still below their NTA value btw

@rahulsk1947 that dividend trap scenario really happened to many counters lately.

That have to see which counter you buy for dividend stocks. I estimate Hektar will give a decent dividend for 2023 owing to the recovery of retail businesses at their malls

At 5.3 cts x 2 times yearly div which roughly translate to about 13 % or let us conservatively say 9%, at 80 cts there about should be an attractive div stock and rated a good buy

Posted by undercutter > 2023-01-17 16:38 | Report Abuse

dividend trap always occur on other counter too, just invest at your own risk

Posted by Xavierthesaviour > 2023-01-17 16:50 | Report Abuse

Are you here to invest for long term or the short term dividend? Different target, different method to invest...

Posted by noscopesummer > 2023-01-17 17:01 | Report Abuse

like justmeme said, 13% return per year is a pretty good deal, anyhow depends how much return you chasing from the stock market la

Short term investors will definitely sell some after IDRP for a quick profit. So, I do expect some selling right after new shares get listed. For long term investors, I don't see price fluctuation as a problem.

Assuming share price always take all factors into consideration, short term investors who want to sell should sell before ex dividend. Those who decide to keep should also subscribe the IDRP.

I guess Bank Negara will raise another 25% OPR to tackle the inflation. Let's wait for the outcome of these two days

Justmeme: "At 5.3 cts x 2 times yearly div which roughly translate to about 13 % " I didn't get this logic....why times 2? last year total was just 0.0523 (0.02X * 2)

how did you get 5.3 cts x 2?

Posted by HafizAjiad98 > 2023-01-18 13:27 | Report Abuse

Kemungkinan besar kadar akan naik sampai 3% dari 2.75%

@MoneyMoneyHome2019. They will dispatch a hardcopy of document for you to apply. Or you can ask your broker for more information about that

Hektar turn out to be one of the most performing reits last year, they are going to repeat their performance again in 2023..

Hektar pay div half yearly now so I assume they will pay another one around mid year so that is why x2. Maybe a bit less in mid year but should be around there looking at the current results

Justmeme

Before Hektar use to be paying 2.6 to 4 cts div every Q. Then last few years about averaging 2.3 to 2.8 cts every Q before it crashes due to Covid.

Posted by noscopesummer > 2023-01-19 17:30 | Report Abuse

maybe this year back to paying dividend every quarter??

It will be interesting to know how YTL Reits are faring this coming results announcement. They and Hektar are almost in the same sector. If they do well this confirm the sector are doing well.

YTL Reit is more engaging in hotel properties. In terms of retail-concentrated REITs, they are Hektar, Pavilion, IGB and etc. Refer to these retail-focus REITS are more accurate

Posted by HafizAjiad98 > 2023-01-20 10:59 | Report Abuse

Hektar adalah pilihan Reit saya kerana Reit lain amat mahal dan saya dapat kutip Hektar ni pd harga yg murah, lebih kurang 55 sen sana. kekeke

Trued. The halting of OPR has provided some relief to REITs. Expecting REITs to do well in the 1st quarter of 2023
