German supermarket is running low on sunflower oil. Those oil is from inventory stocks. Even they find tighter for olive and canola oil. Middle East and North Africa depend Ukraine sunflower oil. Now merchants ship cannot their ports.... source from yahoo news

Palm Oil Inventories in the world’s second-largest producer, Malaysia are forecast to 1.53 million tonnes, rising for the first time in five months. Exports are seen rising 6.3% to 1.17 million tonnes, in line with estimates from cargo surveyors showing a rise in shipments to top buyers India and China.

Exports rose at the back of strong demand for palm olein particularly in the Middle East and countries with large Muslim populations to meet rising demand ahead of the Ramadan fasting month. Countries like Egypt, Iran and Saudi Arabia which typically rely on sunflower oil had to switch to buying palm to meet the strong seasonal demand. Shipments of palm oil to the region will remain strong in April.

Global supply of sunflower oil has taken a hit after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine damaged port infrastructure and disrupted supply of the edible oil from the key Black Sea region, forcing buyers to seek alternatives. In April, a sustained rise in production aided by favourable weather outlook will keep prices under pressure, but the behaviour in crude oil prices will keep palm prices in check

Sop has 300,000 acres of palm oil (bigger than Singapore landmass at 180,000 acres?

Calvin bought SOP at Rm3.55. It crossed Rm6.00 and I didn't sell any. Although it dropped in weakness below Rm5.50 I happily holding

We are in Superbull and so I expect SOP to go above its historical high of Rm7.04 to reach Rm8 and then Rm10.00 by December 2022

In a bull run like now the best thing to do is buy and sit still do nothing

Even though most of us in this forum are holders of SOP but sometimes a balance view is needed instead of constantly promoting the stock. Although I think CPO would not fall below RM4500/tonne in the immediate future but with rising costs such as labour, fertilizers etc coupled with declining output at this price level can the planters still record super profits ? This is one of the reasons why some owners/major shareholders, CEO are disposing their stocks relentlessly and of course some got them cheap via esos etc.a
