SBL - Securities Lending & Borrowing System

You bought and own the shares

You agreed to lend out to any borrowers (so far borrowers must be institution clients) who would like to borrow from you at x percent of interest per year.

You lend your shares to the borrower and earn x% of interest per year. The interest is calculated daily (I think so) until the borrower returns the shares to you.

Usually what a borrower to borrow the desired shares from the SBL pool is to sell in open market and buy back later (anytime, could be days or months, depends on what he intends to do).

The lender has the rights to call back those shares anytime too (I think it shd be the case until now).

U ppl really think these hidden hands will borrow hundreds of millions to push from 23c to 59c on the climax reversal day, pay IB to set tgt of 70c (knowing many naive greenhorns will chase even though shr is up 3X or more chasing pennies in front of the steamroller) just to let you senang2 earn pocket $ from them? T+3 for 303 mil & T+2 for 157 mil shrs today & they will never push b4 you or bak KAK!🙄

Invest with holding power for mid long term if possible.

Even if contra, only T+2 (for normal account). If margin, wow, KO terus if drop more than 8% to trigger MC (let go some shares to adjust?)

They (themselves) create announcement via lending and borrowing shares but those shares may not be traded. Wayang je to create public awareness and what is their motives, they know. 😅

Most likely because they want to inflate the stock price more, then subsequently sell the share back at a relatively higher price. As far as i know, Tabung Haji has been holding a lot of UEMS shares since a long time ago. Surely they won't dispose them at a discounted price, will they? A better strategy is to drive the price up before disposing them (like what's happening now).

Lbeng606, it is the borrowers returned shares to Urusharta. And lender lends out shares to borrowers. Not Urusharta transacted the actual buy and sell of shrs in open mkt.
Or it could be their wayang show to create public awareness nia

Heroism alone, fake or real, doesn't make $$$ in markets. Only a shrewdness from experience & attention to detail pays off...Another 9% of Tabung rugi's shrs dumped on the key reversal day last wk or 1/5 the volume that day. Ergo, another estimated 30-55 mil shrs AT LEAST now floating in the mkt among mostly hot potato players with only rumours & NO concrete fundamental evidence of improvement. The probabilities are not great(to say the least!) for upside BUT sindiket may goreng 2-3c now & then since they know that some heros-to-zeros have cut 😃
