Obucks, tak Mati lah. Paper loss Je. Others have bgt higher than u. Average out after fed announces tapering. SCable has got projects and Sarawak not do connected to federal territory.
Now the price is 1.83. Tomorrow will drop because every 5 shares given 1 bonus issue. So bucks did make some paper lost. Obucks, how many free bonus shares you have?
if you dont sell yesterday...you can calculate shares that you own today by multiplying numbers of shares you own yesterday by 1.2 . Then You can sell all shares include bonus today at current price......
Ruzlimz, pls use my precious question 20 lots with 4 bonus shares issued. Bought at 2.25,each. How you get 1.88, pls. Easier for all to understand. Thanks v much!
abundance......OK....lets do some work.....go to the basic of bonus issue. Scable gives you 1 free shares for every 5 shares you own. So after bonus, you own 6 shares . Takes your case...you bought 20000 shares at 2.25 at cost of 45,000. But now you own 24000 shares include BI. Your adjusted cost now is 45000 divides by 24 which is 1.875 ...rounded to 1.88...say if the price come to 1.88 and you sell all 24000 shares at 1.88 ..your sale proceed is 45120..you just recover back you initial investment of 45000...but remember this exlude you brokerage fees.
pathew....I have made experiment my self ....not all the times if you buy just before Ex you will make money on ex date. Yes to day scable's price more than ex price..you make quick profit....there are cases price trade on exdate was lower than ex price....lost money....
Thanks, Ruslimz. Appreciate the detail calculation. That was what I thought. As when I calculated as suggested multiply by 1.2 it appears as though u already made profit! That was what confused me! Thanks, bro!
ruslimz, agreed with your observations. However, as long as there are some fundamentals to the stocks, it should be reflected in the share price moving up... as with Scable, announcement on the 500kv project to push the prices back up with potential for other deals as well :)
from rich tomoro become some pnut!!!!!!!!!why ??????? never mind esok masih ada....there are more than 1000 stocks out there to play with....keep on playing..
Jenny, I'd you bought low and u get bonus issue is good but better to wait after bonus issue to buy as likely to catch a lower price to keep long term.
taking from SCable web For example, if Mr X purchases 500 SCABLE shares on cum basis on 9 September 2013, Mr X should receive 500 shares on 12 September 2013. As a result of the Bonus issue, a total of 600SCABLE shares will be credited into Mr X’s CDS account on the night of 12 September 2013 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell the Bonus issueshares of 600 on or after the Ex-Date ie from 10 September 2013 onwards.
pity ....still many investors dont understand how the stock market works.....but talk so confident.......bursa has to do something....stock market school....
there is investor who said selling scable at current price is a fool. Why fool. If for example an investor sold his share 1.53 to day. If he bought the share before ex at 1.70 he already made profit of RM 140 per lot. If 10 lots already RM 1400 profit. Is this a fool...!!!!!!
ruslimz, obviously you're basing that at 1.70. and obviously if you use that price as an example there is profit to be made. yalah how wiseeeeeeeeee right? there are many other price buying points, like obucks who bought high. selling at a loss at this point in time is a fool. you seem to know everything. perhaps bursa can hire you to educate others at the stock market school.. many will sign up!
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
