Price only goes up if director buy back the share or new big investor came in..otherwise, it is just splitting with good opportunity for good dividends..1 cent increment will be similar to 5 cents increment with current share price..thats all..

Is RSS a Bad thing in a Normal and Progressive Stock Market?

First and foremost, I wish to confess that I am not posting on behalf of any Shortie syndicate nor do I participate in any shorting activities on Bursa.

In any normal and growing stock markets, investors are opined on both sides of the coin. Is RSS a healthy move in lieu of “hedge funds” dealing on the sides as in Wall Street?

In the mid-2000s, Dr Michael Burry saw the imminent crash and the runaway property bubble bursting in US which was followed by several huge funds selling against the likes of Fannie May and Lehmen Brothers. The toxic stocks were bundled together again and again and passing up the financial “food chain” to the super Traders and Brokerages. On ground level, some had to investigate and witness the horrible financial scandals and the super bubble sitting on some needles. A striptease dancer may own 4-6 properties ranging from landed to penthouses at the courtesy of “easy financing” with rebate to agents and bankers. When the bubble indeed burst, as they say, the rest is history. US financial meltdown cost some hundreds of years old brokerage to fold and the Federal Reserve had to step in to save the Banks and the US dollar. The damage reverberated across the world and some of us did not recover even until today. Dr Michael Burry made billions and even some garage start-up hedge companies made hundreds of million after shouldering the “risks payments” for years, even to the tune of several hundred million in the case of Dr Michael’s firm which almost bankrupt him. (My personal most watch film)

Over on Bursa, RSS was allowed only several months back after being suspended for a long while. RSS can only be initiated on selected counters and Shorties need to pay deposits/prepayment with additional fees to borrow stocks for the sale. They bear a heavier cost than just to be on the other side as a Buyer. Due to their belief that certain counters are over-priced, they are confident of their decision to stand against. The coin may also flip wrong side and they lose too. Therefore, it is not any certainty of a win or profit.

Should any counter be targeted, some losses by Shorties may cause “forced Buy In” to return the borrowed stocks. This shall return the price to the proper “water level” price.

Is the time to call for suspension of RSS an indication and significant revelation of liquidity weakness on Bursa? Is this a White Flag to call for assistance?

I for one would not sign any Petition to remove RSS for the simple fact that all FREE markets should be both edges of the sword.

Pharma not only given the task of fill and finish of Sinovac, but also the distribution task for Sinovac and AZ around the country.

Think about the profit they would gain in only July, Khairy say it will be extremely busy for them, 12million doses will be delivered. Just imagine the profit from only storing and distributing these super precious valuable item.

Pharma's contract with Govt is that of a delivery boy, can you imagine the service charges for logistic and courier? SinoVac vaccine is imported bulk for fnf....like bottling orange squash, cordials....unlike the locally manufactured Vaccines in South Korea, Thailand and Japan, using the AZ Formula and under such brand. The current batch of AZ arrived 2 days ago, 587,600 doses of AZ is from Thailand. Fully packed and in vials, Pharma as postman again.

These AZ clones are not recognised by EU and MOSTI is questioning the differentiation.

1.05 is the reference price. Actual closing price will depend on operator whether to goreng or stay put. Chances of closing lower is limited as price has been stabilising at this level for nearly a month and there is no profit to take anyway

They buy Sinovac in bulk and do bottling then sell to government for some margin
Sinovac cold chain distribution job for some margin
AZ cold chain distribution job for some margin
Definitely not a normal postman, courier or delivery boy job.
I think the margin may not be like glove manufacturing that went double or triple due to increased ASP but significant enough that any company with capability would want to do it. Otherwise why so many company out of sudden claimed to be vaccine importer n distributor. What about other vaccine distribution later and what if government allow them selling to private.
Let's hold and see their Q2 result

Procurement of Vaccines negotiated by MOSTI. Buying prices are fixed and disclosed to PAC. MOSTI ordered the vaccines and Pharma takes deliveries. The handling, delivery and fnf charges are agreed by MOH and MOSTI. Payment by MOH, whether directly to Overseas Suppliers or to Pharma for their onward transmission per batch does not make any difference.

TOTAL MIS-LEADING AND MISCONCEPTION TO STATE PHARMA AS THE MAIN BUYER AND SELL TO MOSTI. That's the difference in margins charged.

Don't even start to dream with comparison to Gloves. Never been a vaccine MANUFACTURER and Gloves are a WINDFALL gift!

MAYBE IF PHARMA HAS FOUND A CURE FOR CANCER AND PRODUCING THE SERUM...hahahaha, joke even to mention Gloves.

Yes MOSTI negotiated n price fixed as per disclosed to PAC. Unlikely a fat margin for national service deal and very unlikely at zero margin. The buying and selling would still have to go thru the registration holder. Who? Trevor777 Sdn.Bhd.?

The MAIN Buyer and the handling/service provider with fees have been properly introduced.

Fair and sound question, given that this is not the 1st time Pfizer vaccine hit our shores. The earlier batch was purchased and handled by courier (presumably DHL with deep freeze boxes) until point of Vaccination centers.

If memory serves, MOSTI spent tens of millions for some 55 units of Deep freeze boxes too? Did that materalised?

Maybe me got it wrong, but could it be that all the slow approvals of other vaccines like sinopharm etc was intended to allow Pharmaniaga to make more money first? Or is it just pure inability to speed things up?
