Delta is still progressing in western countries. Now comes Omicron
Will Omicron more infectious than Delta, Will Omicron cause more damage than Delta, and will current vaccine still able to be effective against Omicron? Wait till around Dec 10th 2021 will tell. Do not panic but do not underestimate as well.

When things nail down it is usually too late to react just like first virus in Wuhan back in 2020.

First garmen say only sick ppl to wear mask, now it is mandatory, then the vaccination is voluntary, now it is equivalent to mandatory. The booster shot in the pipeline to be a must.

If you are reactive then it will be too late. Tomorrow the panic buy will continue, may last a while till 2 weeks time once final report is produced. But we small fish will be the last to know, big IB already recovered their position before official report produced. Manage the risk accordingly and do not wait till the last minute.

It is not about if, it is about when the Omicron will enter MY/SG. Unless to close down like North Korea.

The glove stock has been pressed down for merely a year under same topic ASP, ASP and ASP. When the spring gets compressed for long once unleashed the energy will be enormous. Same on the opposite. This Omicron is merely a catalyst.

As for the recent Friday event, bear in mind small fish cannot make such big wave. Check the volume, only whales can create. Not too mention if upcoming is a tsunami.

Manage and balance the risk before it is too late. Big fish will not leave time for all small traders to react.

Big whales not necessary only from RSS, but mostly during bad times, yes.

Moreover foreign fund are in the pipe back to US, JPM is in the progress to cash out to celebrate Christmas, USD will get stronger and stronger. JPM most likely will utilise the gain profit from Asia in US market for while. They gave a final 1.5 mislead most ppl so that they can escape beforehand, but this unexpected Omicron has probably interrupted their plan or maybe they already in progress to clear off the final position.

Maybe start to throw if your entry price is so high previously, above RM5 as I don't believe the momentum will continue as countries are more well prepared than previously, so any wave will be business as usual to them.......just my opinion.....

Scientists raced to study a new coronavirus variant as several cases were spotted in Europe and governments around the world announced travel restrictions targeting the southern African region where it first emerged, prompting criticism that the continent was yet again bearing the brunt of panicked policies from Western countries.

Omicron, the new variant first detected in Botswana, sent Europe into high alert after cases were detected in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Belgium. The Czech Republic, Austria, Israel and the Netherlands were all investigating suspected cases of the variant.

Relatively little is known about Omicron. It has mutations that scientists fear could make it more infectious and less susceptible to vaccines though neither of these effects has yet to be established. Most confirmed cases of the variant are contained to southern African countries, but there are worries Omicron could have spread more widely before scientists there discovered it.

There s been a window of probably about two weeks conservatively that this virus has been spreading, Andrew Pekosz, an epidemiologist from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health said in an interview on Saturday. It is likely the variant is already in New York, he said.

There certainly is a chance that it has already spread globally, but we just dont know yet, Mr. Pekosz added.

The new variant of this virus has caused worldwide market to tumbles on Friday. If the new variant is a normal variant ,then it won't affect the world markets. The big fund managers have better informed information and they have take the immediate action to reduce their losses. Going forward it will be bear for all stocks and bull for glove shares.
If you have missed the 4 biggest top gloves shares,then buy the middle and small size glove shares.
Maybe the gains from the gloves shares can contribute to your Christmas and Chinese New year celebrations.

The naysayers can no longer suppress the intrinsic value of Kossan, Harta and Top Glove, especially during this pandemic when there's no end in sight yet and demand has remained and will remain heightened for a long time to come. I can't say much about Supermax since they're banned in US and Canada (govt contract), and under investigation in UK. I can't say much about the smaller companies either because they don't have the cost advantage that the big ones have. But basically, glove stocks in general have been suppressed in recent weeks and months, unfairly so, due to market manipulation. These glove stocks are like pressure cookers waiting to explode at any slightest news of the virus resurgence, just like what's happening now!

Agree with Mable. If the new variant is a normal variant, uk and us won't react so drastically. Scientists wouldnt give such comments. Glove stocks are still very cheap, even 3.30 is still dirt cheap.

So far only China still has zero tolerance policy for covid. the virus mutation become faster and more contagious. China vaccine mostly are inactivated vaccines. It cannot well fight against the mutated virus not to mention now its 2nd or 3rd generations covid.

Hence if China cannot contain and if to launch similar MCO or EMCO country wide. It will be a disaster for the world. As almost 50% of world manufacturing are done in China, the supply chain will be more serious.

Will China able to manage well this time under the pressure of Omicron? Hard to say with the upcoming Winter Olympic and Chinese New Year almost the same period in 2022. Omicron May just get its chance and we all know now it is more infectious than Delta.

Also to note China produce large volume of gloves, if factories shutdown. Easily 20%~30% of world supply of gloves will be impacted. All risks need to be balanced, make your own calculative choices wisely. DYODD
