Stop complaining, this is an opportunity to educate our children in English so they’re competitive and better than the Malays. The government wants to keep the Malays backward and less educated so they can be easily manipulated and continue voting for them as a Malay bloc

Right guys.....The government has good intention not to allow teaching of Maths and Science in English.
We can continue to have half baked law makers, export talents, import cheap foreign labours, plant padi, tap rubber, collect palm fruits, sell teh cankong, nasi lemak, goreng pisang and roti canai.
The government can continue to borrow more money to feed and waylaid the ignorants, gained their supports and continue to plunder the nation under the pretext as a caring government.

It is difficult to fathom any credible reason for PN, previously BN, to deprive Malaysians the opportunity to learn Maths and Science in English other than fear of the English educated. Not that they are not equally proficiency in BM. In the globalized world of today English is the passport to the lucrative job markets worldwide including in Malaysia. Most of our top leaders from the Tengku right up to Najib and the second tier politicians from the old schools have done very well for themselves. Malaysians from English medium schools are the professionals that constituted the backbone of the private enterprises and public services of the post-independent era that pride in setting the solid fundamentals of this nation. It is rather sad that the political leaders of today have become so weak that they fear the educated masses in preference to those consigned to the dependency and hand-out syndrome of a failed education system.

What happens is the B40 who are mainly malays suffer the most as they cannot afford to send their children for English tuition. For the rich they send their children for English tuition and the gap between the 4he poor and rich becomes more.

OtakSudahCenter , If PN is interested in educated voters it will not revert to Maths and Science in BM. They will keep dumping down the education system as they know no educated voter will vote for them even if Maths and Science is taught in English. The dumped down section of the populace that has no scope other than the lower end of public services will remain their captive vote bank.

Bring back the PH govt and let Tun Mahathir be the Education Minister. Forget about the stupid manifesto.

Tun is the only one who can right this education mess. He would have cut the period for religious studies and re-introduce English for maths and science.

The people running DBP ought to be changed for their closeted views. They only know Bahasa Melayu, which I guess is OK since they are supposed to be the guardian of the language. But please refrain from commenting on educational policies.

英国指责中国“严重”侵犯新疆维族人权 中国称指控不实

英国外交大臣拉布（Dominic Raab）在伦敦时间7月19日（周日）表示，中国侵犯维吾尔族人口人权，行为“严重且极其恶劣”，不排除英国会因此制裁中国。

他对BBC《安德鲁·马尔秀》（Andrew Marr Show）节目称，有报告指出维族人遭遇强制绝育及其他更大范围的迫害，这“让人联想到一些我们很久没有见到过的事情”。

拉布坚称，英国会就此与其他盟友协作，以采取适当行动。

中国驻英国大使刘晓明在同一档节目上表示，所谓的集中营说是“假的”。

刘晓明称，在中国，维族人与其他民族一样，在法律下享受同等待遇。

节目上，BBC主持人安德鲁·马尔向刘晓明展示了无人机拍到的一些画面，画面显示有眼睛被遮住的维族人被带上火车。这些画面已得到澳大利亚安全机关验证。刘晓明称，他“不知道”这个视频上展示的画面是什么，“无论在哪个国家，有时都会转换监狱的情况”。

中国面临的“维族种族灭绝”指控

一份由中国事务学者郑国恩（Andrian Zenz) 撰写的新疆调查报告日前公开。报告中指，新疆当局定期要求少数民族育龄女性接受体检，检查其是否怀孕，还对她们强制施行节育、绝育措施。

报告还称，数字显示中国整体的节育环使用量、绝育手术数量近年来都在降低，但在新疆这两个数字却在增长。

有专家解读，中国利用计划生育措施在新疆推行“变相种族灭绝”。中国方面称郑国恩的报告“毫无根据”。

中国自1979年以来施行计划生育政策，其中一种主要方式是施行强制堕胎和绝育手术，要求生过一胎的妇女强制安装宫内节育器。进入21世纪以来，这些强制手段越来越少见，中国的计划生育政策也逐渐放开。2015年，中国决定全面放开二孩政策。

新疆此前多年一直规定少数民族夫妻可以比汉族夫妻多生育一名子女。2017年新疆人大常委会通过修订后的《自治区人口与计划生育条例》，其中取消少数民族与汉族夫妻的生育子女数区别，统一规定“城镇居民一对夫妻可育有两个子女，农村居民一对夫妻可育有三个子女”。

美国共产主义受害者基金会（Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation）最近一项研究显示，2013年至2018年期间，新疆两个最大维吾尔族聚集地的人口增长率下跌超过80%。

中国不接受这些说法。在被问及人口数据时，中国驻英国大使刘晓明称，40年前新疆维吾尔族的人口为400万至500万人，现在已经增长到1100万人。

“人们说我们在进行种族清洗，但人口却翻了一番，”他说。

根据中国官方数据和媒体报道汇总的人口结构研究无法追溯到40年前的情况。但这些研究显示，2005至2015年间，新疆人口增长率急剧上升，之后几年内又迅速下降。

“捍卫人权的代价可能是减少与中国的贸易往来，在后新冠的经济低迷时期，这可能会是不低的代价。”

与此同时，自香港《国安法》通过以来，英国保守党议员们还在敦促政府针对香港政府高级官员采取行动。英国认为这项法律违反了一系列国际协议中保护自由的承诺。

拉布将会在周一向英国议会通报英国政府的最新回应，外界认为届时他将宣布中止英国与香港的引渡条约。

英国已经承诺向多达300万香港居民提供居英权。刘晓明在BBC节目中表示，如果英国针对中方官员，中国将会予以回击。

“如果英国走到那一步，向任何中国人施加制裁，中国必将做出坚决回应，”他说。

刘晓明同时指所谓对维族人的“种族清洗”指控毫无根据，称维族人“与其他民族人民和平、和谐共处”。

他称，那些显示2015至2018年间维吾尔人居住区人口增长下降84%的数字“不正确”，声称整个新疆的维吾尔族人口数在过去四十年间“翻了一倍”。

“在中国的维吾尔族人中，没有所谓的普遍性、大规模强迫绝育情况，”他补充道。“政府的政策强烈反对这种做法。”

但他表示，“无法排除个例”，并坚称“我们对每个民族都同等对待”。
