10c dividend?!!! Wow. With Ringgit so weak, can expect its furniture exports to perform better.
From its annual report:
Export oriented companies in general have benefited from the continued depreciation in the Malaysian Ringgit which averaged 4.12 to the US Dollar between July 2015 - 2016. As a result, goods exported from Malaysia remain globally competitive against lower cost base economies such as Vietnam and China.
The Furniture Division demonstrated significant improvement for the FY16 contributing RM27.21 million to the Group’s operating profit. The improvement in this division resulted from increased order volume from all markets due to competitive prices as the Malaysian Ringgit depreciates.
Today, Jaycorp Group is proud to have its furniture products exported to more than 45 countries all over the world of each continent with more than 100 customers under its belt which include some of the largest retailers in the world such as Walmart Store, Target Store, Metro Group, Nitori, Coaster and etc.
Our Worldwide export market covers USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Scandinavia Countries, Japan, Australia, New Zealand.
Malaysia is one of those few countries have large resources of fine wood supply, therefore Furniture industry can be very competative globally, prospect is good for longer term investment.
A filing with the Companies Commission of Malaysia indicates that some of NCCT’s shareholders —Neoh Cher Leong, Tan Bee Eng, Tok Heng Leong and Chua Lee Seng — also control Assets Muar Sdn Bhd, a company which has a 42.81% stake in Lii Hen Industries Bhd, a Muar-based furniture player, which is larger than Jaycorp, with a market capitalisation of RM583.2 million. One shareholder of NCCT, Chua Yong Haup, is Lii Hen’s managing director, while Lee Seng, Tan and Tok are executive directors of Lii Hen.
Disappointed to attend AGM today. No presentation slide, no even let us to ask question at all. After passed all resolutions and refreshment, AGM finished. Waste my time at all.
Dear Sebastian, no doorgift given. Attendees less than 30 ppl only. Overall my feeling is the management din take this chance to communicate with minor shareholders like me.
