End of July Ustr request feedback if increasing up to 50 percent on ppe etc is acceptable. AMMA is proposing to bring it forward to allow better playing field for US manufacturers. Supermax will be the main beneficiary but all counters will benefit if Congress approve this.

According to the CDC data as of August 4, there have been 38,465 cases of mpox and 1,456 deaths in Africa since January 2022.

Mpox already has vaccine. So not as serious as covid. But I'm still optimistic in US tariff on China. Hope there's early implementation.

Careful on PE bcoz the number is TTM (12 trailing months). Meaning the data include when situation was bad.

- Will people be quarantined for 21 days?
- Who will be quarantined?
- How do you detect the disease if lesions are in areas that can be covered?

Mpox will not be pandemic like Covid.. and we want that. If it's a pandemic, US might delay the tariff on China. This will strengthen CHina glove financially. We want Mpox not a pandemic and US implement their tariff on China gloves as soon as possible.

Countries across Asia are increasing surveillance and countermeasures against mpox as Thailand reported its first suspected case of a new, more dangerous variant of the virus.

South Korea said that epidemiologists and public health doctors will be deployed at the gates of flights arriving from Ethiopia to monitor incoming passengers.

Anyone with mpox symptoms will be required to report to quarantine officers on arrival.

Waste from aircraft toilets will also be monitored for the virus.
