@investortrader88 bro, I got your point on the Peterborough WTE project. If KNM wants to develop and own a WTE plant with a capacity to process 3,000 tonnes of waste per day,it would have to invest RM 1 billion. At the current plan, the plant has a capacity to process 150,000 tonnes per annum of waste, and power generating capacity of 11 mw. Let's wait for sifu sardin81's comments.
We are working with Amey to encourage everyone to ‘reduce, re-use and recycle’ as much of their waste as possible. Inevitably there is waste that cannot be recycled, which has historically been sent to landfill.
Peterborough currently produces around 90,000 tonnes of waste per year, around 50% of which is currently recycled. Our goal is to achieve in excess of 65% recycling by 2020, including all dry recycling, garden waste and unwanted food waste.
With landfills virtually full and the cost per tonne increasing dramatically (costs increased 10-fold between 1997 and 2015 to almost £100 per tonne), we have sought a more environmentally friendly, lower-cost approach to managing the city’s residual waste.
We signed contracts with Viridor to build a new Energy from Waste Facility which turns our black bin waste to ash, reducing its weight by around 94% and turns the heat generated by the process into renewable electricity. The facility began treating waste in December 2015

Peterborough Energy Recovery Facility (ERF)
The 85,000 tonnes per annum Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) was officially opened in March 2016, close to the Peterborough Power Station in Fengate. The ERF enables the city of Peterborough to divert 85,000 tonnes of residual waste from landfill each year, for 30 years, recovering vital energy, and offering the city another important step towards a decentralised energy network, with a generating volume of 58 GWh (enough to power 16,000 homes).
The state-of-the-art plant is one of the most efficient in the UK and reduces the amount of carbon the city produces by 10,000 tonnes per year, making a significant contribution to a more sustainable Peterborough.
Construction work started in the summer of 2013 and the facility was completed in December 2015. During the construction period alone over £9.8m was spent in the immediate vicinity of the facility, and local supply chain opportunities will continue during the operational life of the facility.
During the facility’s operational life, the partnership between Peterborough City Council and Viridor sees the revenue produced from the treatment of residual waste being delivered to Viridor, with the income generated through the sale of the electricity reverting back to Peterborough City Council.
The ERF has been shortlisted for a number of awards including being runner up at the Public Sector Sustainability Awards.

Lee is confident that the market for its process equipment is making a comeback as oil majors are ramping up investment in refineries and petrochemical plants as crude oil prices stabilise.
While greenfield mega refinneries sich as Petronesa Refinery and Petronchemical Intergrated Development in Pengerang are hard to come by , existing facilities need upgrading.
For example Indonesia Pertamina has a US4 billion budget to upgrade its refinery in Balikpapan. This is a part of effort to upgrade all six of its redinerues in Indonesia over the next eight years with a budget of US$30 billion.
These upgrading works are substantial. We can see that major projects are coming in, not only in this region , but also in Kuwait , Abu Dhabi and Oman.Of course, there is also the Saudi Aramco refinery , which need to be repaired and upgraded after being damaged, says Lee.
KNM is looking at opportunities to bid for WTE plants in Malaysia and Indonesia says Lee.
The construction of its TE plant in Peterborough has started, with the first phase targeted to be completed by June 2022.The plant will have the capacity to process 150 , 000 tonnes per annuam of waste, and power generating capacity of 11MW.
The group's plans to grow its recurring income business will require lot of funds Its plan to expand its biothanol plant in Thailand and built the first phase of its Peterborough WTE plant will need an investment of RM 680 million.
If KNM wants to develop and own a WTE ant with a capacity to process 3 ,000 tonnes of waste per day , it would have to invest RM 1 billion.
KNM is looking at ninetising ints investmenr in Borsig to fund its future growth plan , says Lee.Besides an initial public offering , the group is considering getting a strategic partner to take up a stake.
The investor we want should be somebody that can help open up a bigger market for us . We want somebody we cab bring in money and potentially open door for us , bringing new business , says Lee.
KNM did not provide the financials for Borsig. However in 1HFY2019 , its European operation recorded an Ebitda of RM 100.69 million , which was 87% of segment's Ebidta of RN 115.6 million in FY2018.
Borsig has been profitable all the years as KNM other businesses were bleeding , Lee says. However , as the group's total losses mounted, investors dumped the shares and thus undervalued Borsig.
Lee confirm the grouo will be looking, at a very least, at the same price - RM 1.7 billion -- that it paid for Borsig a decade ago. However , he believes the company is worth more than that for its good technology and strong brand value.
With all the plans lined up for KNM, sceptics and believers alike will be watching it closely.
Since KNM looking for a ideal partner that can give cash & business to KNM. the most suitable partner is Petronas.Since Petronas have interest in WTE business , they can bid for any WTE projects around the world not only Malaysia .KNM / BORSIG can provide German enginering support to Petronas for fheir projects.
Sifu sardin81, that's the reason behind the buying spree by General Lee lately. The price sure will rocket high with many parties trying to grab the jewel crown, Borsig.
Good morning guys.KNM force to have a strong partner which have strong financial as General Lee see 's a lot of oppurtunities ahead.Strong working capital can bid for more & large projects .More projects more profits.More profits share price will move to a greater heights.Hold tight yr KNM shares ! In General Lee we trust !
Borsig profit is now covering for KNM's other business losses. KNM will only see big improvement if its non Borsig businesses turn around (one example is its bioethanol plant will turn profitable after additional 300,000 litres expansion completed by 2020, as reported) and Borsig bring in much more profits than before.
riko You just need to imagine... Then knm can go to Rm300 not rm3... Siok mah.... Tomorrow open then back to normal....
Got imagine got hope...May be come true in your dream... Who know 28/10/2019 9:37 AM

Dear, look at revenue no use.It must supported by profit(net profit).People can imagine how much revenue Borsig will made, this new technology will made as example, big projects or new discovery will made.People are interested on net profit not revenue.
If KNM need to sell a big stake in Borsig to finance its Petersborough WTE project, then I opine the Petersborough WTE project come a bit too early. Expand at the wrong time, again.
Just be careful of 60 cent over resistance.Maybe another correction.19-21 resistance above is about expectation.Below that resistance is in trouble. The upward about expectation now.KNM will made that kind of profits.
3 years back Peterborough need RM1.9b to build, due to pound depreciate about 20%, they now jist need about 1.5b only, with some cash on hand, they short RM1b to finished the whole project, if Boesig market value at RM 2.2B, they just sell 40% or listing to obtain fund, while next year Ethanol plant income increase, the profit is stable at current level. Once Peterborough completed, their profit can be double than Borsig. At that time with RM200m+ profit, that is why RM3 look still very, cheap. Alternatively, they remain Borsig and find a partner injet find and growth the WTE business, their profit will also leap frog once UK project run
@Infinite, looks like Peterborough is a bigger goose than Borsig. Less than half of KNM's stake in Borsig for the Peterborough project seem like a good deal. Lee said with the bioethanol expansion, the project is a cash cow. Maybe the shortfall in Knm bottomline caused by the sale of its borsig stake could be covered by the bioethanol additional income next year after its expansion.
Based on IRR 12.5% Peterborough return, it generate about RM200m annual profit for the next 25 years concession upon full completion. This translate group recurring income jump to 75%
