Business for BitOoda had been progressing steadily. By May of this year, the company built up a pipeline of under 500 megawatts of grid connections for Bitcoin miners looking to plug into American power. Kelly’s sleepless nights helped that figure boom to about 2,000 megawatts of deals in the works, with about 70% going to Chinese clients.
It’s not easy to just set up a Bitcoin mining operation out of nowhere. Kelly’s clients need not only power supply, but also substations and transformers, devices that filter the high powered volts in the power grid to be gentle enough that they won’t fry all those valuable computers. Setting all the machinery takes time, in some cases as long as 18 months to get up and running.
Bloomberg: Can you explain more why you’re less worried about emerging markets? Shamar: To me, the upturn in the commodity cycle and the fact that the cost of adopting new technologies has fallen a lot and are being adopted very rapidly now across emerging markets, including some of the poorest countries. I think that gives me a lot of optimism about what can drive emerging market growth in the years ahead.
I am currently studying SUCCESS (7207). I started off by searching for Abigail and realize she was an American billionaire businesswoman. Since 2014, She has been president and chief executive officer of American investment firm Fidelity Investments and chairman of its international sister company Fidelity International.
For the board member, they have TAN SRI DATO' AHMAD FUZI BIN HJ ABDUL RAZAK which work as the chairman. Tan Sri has many designations in various companies. He was previously the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia.
Looking at the quarterly result, in the 2020 1st quarter it seems they were making a huge profit but upon checking the financial report from KLSE. It was told that there were dispose of process equipment segment amounting to RM 6.09 million and increase in sales from transformer and lighting segment. So, if we minus Rm 6.09 from 11.31 mil, it means their actual profit is only 5.22 million which is similar to the profit generated for 2019 first and second quarter.
The lower in revenue for the FYE 30 June 2020 was mainly due to discontinued operation of the process equipment segment as a result of the Disposal and lower sales recorded in transformer and lighting segment.
Looking at the cash flow statement, it has a positive cash flow even during MCO lockdown. For a company like this with good records, good management, good finances, and good prospects, it is worth my attention to pay more attention.
So, moving forward what will be their revenue stream? 1. Replacement for the LED for existing customer/ new customer 2. Oversea orders for street lighting 3. Involve in the smart city project *4. Work with respected organizations in the Electric Vehicle (EV) market to develop and supply both custom low and medium voltage transformers and substation lineups for integration into electric vehicle charging systems.
May their transformers, lighting, and related products continue to generate profit for the company. Perhaps, this can be the next D&O =.=
*assumption only
I hope with the influence from Abigail as one of their shareholders, I hope this company will continue to grow.
Don’t invest based on institutional support. Several of her companies perform pretty poorly. Asiafile Berhad is one of them. This company SP is depressed due to the slow growth prospects and lack of innovation (old gen transformers and LEDs) now transform to OLED already. It is merely a value play instead of growth. Still long term target price would be rather conservative at RM1.2
Noted. You are right not to invest in institutional support. Anyway, I can see her Fidelity investment has helped a lot in terms of getting business deals in the US, Luxembourg, and Bermuda. But, moving forward, I can't see many catalysts actually. Do you see any new things for long-term growth? If yes, mind sharing.=
No new catalyst to move its price. Financial performance similar to year 2018 - 2020. For now its fair price should be around RM0.85 - RM0.90. For this year I expect it to move along with the market sentiment, neither over nor underperform.
When all the export oriented counter hit new high in their Revenue, this stock still maintain at 53mil level & net profir keep on dropping 16.42% compare to previous quarter, what i concern is may be their product lack of competetiveness ,cause export sales can not move,am i right.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
