shpg22 "shrugs" well see if your right or not. I've already listed my research and views in previous post on this thread and it hasn't changed. I'm still holding my chunk of DUFU and I haven't sold a single lot yet.

Though you are some what correct that the pump and dumpers are jumping in now to make a quick buck. I'm personally amused at the NOISE they are generating. For instance these speculators have used the "Bonus" share issue trick twice in the past month to pump this stock. And they've just used the "Fake Financial Reporting so under SEC investigation" trick also. So now I'm waiting for "Government Contract" or "Government will change rule" trick.

I'm personally more interested in the next quarterly report than all this NOISE. It will go up and it will go down in the mean time.

1. Hard disk drive 的未来趋势：其实hard disk drive已经慢慢要被Solid state drive取代。

HDD 和 SSD 长得怎样




看了图应该不难理解SSD能够取代HDD。体积方面小了很多。而且速度更快，不会有声音，防震功能也比较好。
而且现在大部分的人都用smartphone，tablet 和notebook。用desktop的人还是有，但肯定的是已经慢慢减少了。所以对他们来说在未来肯定会对收入有影响。

2. 云端系统的崛起：现在用smartphone和tablet的人越来越多，再加上宽频网络成熟了。所以现在就流行了云端。你不必再拿着EXTERNAL HARD DISK/PEN DRIVE到处走，直接从云端下载就可以了。而且电脑坏了还有一个BACKUP在云端。目前比较普遍的是ICLOUD和GOOGLE DRIVE，而且是免费的。当然如果储存的数据过于庞大就必须要付STORAGE FEE了。所以对他们来说在未来肯定会对收入有影响。 可是目前大部分提供云端的公司都是用着HHD。因为HHD的成本比较便宜。根据网络上的数据一个SSD的价格可以买5个HHD。在短期内SSD还是无法完全取代HHD。

3. 公司在近几年当然注意到了HDD会逐渐被淘汰，他么也努力尝试着不完全依赖HHD的业务。目前他们的另一个业务是开发工业安全与感测器工业（industry safety and sensor)。目前HDD的业务占了70%（2016年：76%）。这对公司或对股东来说是好的，至少管理层不是坐着等关闭。

Dufu目前rolling 4 quarters eps=17.3 sen,pe=13.1,股价rm2.28
如取2018财政年eps20sen计，rm2.28只是在本益比11倍出交易，股价是否贵？心中有数，隆科技股目前本益比在15~40倍交易。
2018年6月第二季度累积共赚eps=10.7仙，全年估计可赚eps=20仙，pe=15，股价=rm3.00
个人分享，自行决定買卖。

Western Digital formats hard disk drive factory as demand spins down
Western Digital will close its hard disk drive factory in Petaling Jaya, near the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, blaming lack of demand for the gear. WD subsidiary HGST Technologies Malaysia closed down a plant in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia, in 2016. The land on which the factory stood was put up for sale in February last year. In response to declining long-term demand for client HDDs, Western Digital has taken steps to rationalize its HDD manufacturing operations globally.

The company will decommission its HDD manufacturing facility in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, by the end of calendar 2019. This transition will be executed in close collaboration with employees, customers, supply partners and other critical stakeholders. The data technology industry is undergoing substantial change. This market transformation is driving increased adoption of SSDs and NAND flash in traditional HDD applications.
