I believe still can go up a lot....NTA-4.79...got theme park project with Sanderson...got Lumut port which is booming due to sapura kencana fabrication yard,TNB project, Vale project....got maju jaya project progressing very well.....quarterly profits keep on increasing....got plentiful land which were obtained at low cost....what more do you want??
The old story gives the back-ground. Asset rich PRKCorp's port business will therefore not benefit much by Vale's activities unless it is taken over by a party with clout over Vale. I suspect the Chinese will be interested to squeeze Vale for profit since they are Vale's only market for the pellets it produce in Perak. Therefore, I suspect the recent rumour is about the divestment of PRKCorp's port assets.
Actually Casuarina Hotel is already back ...... now in Meru Raya . Ipoh . Open ceremony on 15th Nov 2013 , also assets under Perak Corp & that's land areas is almost 2,500 acres also is under Perak Corp ....... cheers .
Sometimes how to value the company target price , the investor must know about the company background , land holdings or after or before the account alody revalue the land ! & what's the business did involve it ! Any future or still under growing or alody pass through ......... depending on the Investor need to Shorterm ! Mid term or long term above 5 years ! All is related to the Investor to do Study , Chart analysis & everyday update the whole market . Nothing is Free ...... if u the Return u want to contributed 100% on what u invested : better u also do the homeworks is 100% .

The 1,000 Acres Lumut Land Almost Fully Developed By Now. What other NTA? Check carefully- the true value of the present NTA. It is not just any Asset as a Margin of safety. It Is the QUALITY Of The ASSETS That Count.
Fyi..lumut port is a hive of activity...as long as sapurakencana do well, there is not much to worry. I hope pakatan took over the state..then there will be more dynamism in the management. Just look at the debt maju perak owe to perak corp ( more than 100 million at one time ) and these mgt just makan gaji buta not doing anything until lately !
Calvin, although I agree with you that PMCORP is undervalued and I have made money from it as well, please check the facts below on PRKCORP before you pass judgement its overvalued.

Thank you for the figures on Perak Corp Graham net net valuation method. I did this when Perak Corp was 60 Cents. I think it is fully valued at the present moment.
About the same time I also bought BDB (Kedah) Johor Land (Already privatised) and Pasdec at 30 cents (Pahang - Najib stronghold). I made money in 3 of the 4 States Except Pasdec. If not for Mui Berhad's Immense Prospect I might have bought Pasdec (Of course Pasdec is another ice box shares for a 10 year marathon challenge to see Its VALUE EMERGE SOMEDAY.)
If you really want to invest based on undervaluation - the better switch from Perak Corp to Pasdec (a laggard). Or better still if you KNOW TRUE VALUE Buy MUI Berhad. The MOST UNDERVALUED OF ALL. Not Only Rock Bottom Price. MUI Berhad is Valued at OCEAN BOTTOM PRICES!
By the way I also bought Integrax at 60 cents in 2009. Already sold.
calvin, Pasdec doesnt qualify as graham net net to me. It is bleeding cash and it has a lot of debt. Good luck on your MUI corp. I m not touching that stock for now.
No wonder I lost money in Pasdec. Anyway I just remembered All 5 State Shares:
1) Perak (Perak Corp) Ha! I Made The Most Money here. Bought big chunk at 60 cts . Sold RM1.70 2) Kedah (BDB) Made a little. 3) Johore Land (Privatised) (Also Made Good Money) Bought 90 Cents. Price doubled to RM1.80 4) Trengganu (TDM) So sorry, even my remisier told me it's lousy. Made little because no want believe me at dirt cheap price. HIGH NTA. Remisier WAS WRONG. Price SHOT UP LATER. 5) Pahang (Pasdec With High NTA) Only one I lost money. Maybe got hanky panky?

allow me to comments. prkcorp has available land of about 500 acres in meru raya sitting at a historical cost of RM3psf, market value at RM15psf from the last year sell to kinta properties.
200 acres land in tanjung malim next to proton factory at book value of 50cent psf, market value RM5psf. port business continue to give a cashflow of at least 30mil a year, excluding land sell and contribution from a 15% holding in Integra which was not qualify for associated accounting. A 15% sharing of Integra net earning is RM7mil before jana 3A and 3B which expected to operation in 2015 and 2017 giving a 100% increase in sell.
there are more value but not sigificant for me to share and with the above i think you can guess what is the fair value of NTA. If you can't get than, my calculation is RM10 NTA value at market value.
Jking..that's only a conservative value...put in more dynamic management, the NTA will easily shoot up. Imagine more than $100 millions in receivables and the current management just sit tight doing nothing but let maju perak earn the benefit. That's why i hope there is a change in the state govt and these current management gets sack for sleeping on the job.

Any way could you go over to MUI Berhad and take a look at their assets?. I bought MUI Berhad on the same basis I bought Perak Corp at 60 cents. Highly overlooked undervalued prime assets.
still not late to buy at 2.80 now, management has decided that they no longer sell land or JV with developer. they are going to develop themselves but as usual it take a bit longer to bear fruit. We have the ex-maybank guy on the board and he is the one who get the PT indonesia bank deal go thru back in 2008 at the higher price. he was appointed to mjprk few month back and do expect surprise corp exercise soon.
