接驳新山双线火车是没什么新鲜事， 北上经过的全是旧车站，附近的小市镇，陈旧又没景点 ，不能带给地方上新的发展。HSR 就不同了，能带给西海岸线一路上的新发展，对马六甲市更是百利而无一害。
最重要的还是互通新山和新加坡度的捷运线，能带给在新加坡工作的马劳很好的利便。
