klsebandit: As you receive notice of the AGM, you are entitled to attend. Even if you hold only 1 share, you are shareholder and can attend all meetings called for shareholders.
Alright, sell it. Why do you still keep it? The company keeps on buying back its share at the range 1.3x-1.4x. Do you have any idea why? Obviously its for 2 reasons 1. DRS purpose 2. Probably to reduce the availability of shares in the market, thus make it easier to be pushed higher later on. Im not sure im right or wrong, But there is a statement by YTL, Francis which i think worth to remember " When you see a company keeps on buying back its own share, you can predict that something has been planning behind it". Maybe im wrong and maybe you are right, so a sell for you, and a hold for me until it reaches my Price....
andyteng: DRS is dividend reinvestment scheme i.e you can opt for the company share instead of taking the cash ,the ratio for the exchange will be announced later by UOAD.
Yes brother theews82 , UOADev & son CB will go higher, just be patient for the report to come out.....1st QT Report of 2012 should be out yesterday just like E&O but they just don't announced it,, maybe today?
I believe once DRS price fixed, UOADEV will use some lil money to push up the price to encourage us to choose DRS.Thats the reason for shares buy back, i guess....
The Group registered revenue for the quarter under review at RM148.1 million which was marginally higher than the corresponding quarter in the preceding year.
The Group’s profit attributable to the owners of RM40.9 million was 69% lower than corresponding quarter last year mainly due to absence of fair value gains on investment properties compared to the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
Revenue:148.076 mil (1QE12) 145.734 mil (1QE11) Profit minus the FV adjustment: 47.591 mil (1QE12) 41.456 mil (1QE11)
Cash and cash equivalents at end of period: 166.564 mil for 1QE12 & 67.629 mil for 1QE11.
Tomorrow should be trading plus/minus not more than 10sen.
Still I say the results is positive...why because the previous report as value gains were added.
So we can happily say that UOADev present quarter is higher than the last quarter.

PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE UOA DEVELOPMENT BHD CONFIDENT OF POSITIVE GROWTH IN 2012 WITH STRONG SALES FOR FIRST QUARTER Kuala Lumpur, 29 May 2012 - UOA Development Bhd (“UOA” or “UOA发展有限公司”) today announced its financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2012. For the quarter under review, UOA recorded a slight quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth of 1.6% in revenue at RM148.1 million, and a pre-tax profit of RM62.5 million. Profit after tax and minority interests (PATAMI) was lower at RM41.0 million compared to the prior-year figure. This was due to the absence of fair value gain in the quarter under review in comparison to the corresponding quarter of 2011. UOA maintains a strong balance sheet position with cash and equivalent of RM166.6 million as at 31 March 2012, which together with the low gearing ratio, allows for potential future land acquisition and development. During the quarter, The Vertical Office Suites @ Bangsar South and Le Yuan Residence in Happy Garden were launched with positive response. This has contributed to the first quarter’s new sales of RM443.7 million with a rise in total unbilled sales of RM722.6 million. UOA expects to commence sales of its development projects such as Desa II, Kiara IV and Subang Land in the second half of 2012. Together with the launches for the first quarter, the estimated total Gross Development Value (GDV) for its development projects in 2012 amounts to RM1.5 billion. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, UOA expects to record a stronger growth in new sales for FY2012.
Dividend: I hold the view that the announcment of dividend will have to take account of the DRS. This is on the assumption that they company would prefer a higher take-up rate on the conversion to share rather than a cash dividend payout. But then again, the company is also cash rich.
Thus, until that price fixing date is confirmed, there may not be an dividend announcement. But I am not sure if there are any Bursa Guidelines on such announcments, someone else can provide additional info.
