by next one or two month, the compensation money from MRT2 project will be known. Expected some of the money will be rewarded to shareholder as special dividend. Some to repay the debt.

This will unlock the land value of Leonfb too...

In the latest 4th qtr report there is an entry "merger deficit" under the Equity caption (page 3).
It was entered as a negative value.
Shouldn't "merger deficit" a positive value?
Can anyone help?

the merger deficit is goodwill on consolidation.
difficult to explain, but, it is the difference between price paid and assets acquired.

accounting policies on goodwill some times have very major impact on earnings.
