I think there is potential. Traditional sundry shops disappearing slowly. 711 convenience store serves 24/7 fills the gap. Products are daily consumables.

So many mom n pop stores in Malaysia. 7-11, really no big deal liao.... Petrol stations oso got this type of convenience shops...

Ya, 7-11 products oso not cheaper than other similar kedai runcit.... Only advantage is its 24/7. But takut juga... A lot of robberies in Malaysia, esp. at nite. Not safe for operators, not safe for customers.....

Ini stock sekejap saje panas...sell if get profit 15 to 2o%...711 can drop below ipo price..that time can buy back...business belum tentu untung....competitor like kk & 99 speedmart tumbuh mcm mushroom..price lower daripada 711....

I think most of the investor here regardless of race cares only about profit. If shariah compliant is so important, they wouldn't allocate preferential shares to bumis only.

Anyway, this counter profit margin is very very small. I shall wait and see how it goes. Maybe it'll end up like ioiprop. :)
