Here's a recap...

As expected Sapnrg is the most active counter today.

Sapura HAS assets like oil and gas fields that is already producing 40k barrels per day and ramping up to 100k per day in 2 years via their 50% stake in Sapura OMV. In 2019, they sold this 50% share to OMV for RM4b when oil prices were lower. Today it is worth easily RM6b due to higher oil prices. Sapura also has RM7b contracts in hand, 12 tender oil rigs (largest fleet in world) and many many offshore ships. On top of that Saonrg has National Gas reserve worth RM 110 billion. It is the largest O&G support asset owner in Malaysia and 2nd largest in world.

Unlike SD, most Sap losses are impairment losses ( not cash losses). If Sap losses ( if Real ), Bankers will want their money back immediately. This impairment can be write back if they can step up to the next level.

A year ago, Sapura price was 15sen. Two years ago, it was 25sen. When PNB bought in 2019, it was 37sen. So if helped by government to recover then it could go back to 37sen or even RM4.50 when Sapura was at its peak in 2014 when oil prices were above US$100 per barrel (like now).

It is purportedly believed that the creditors are not expected to accept the scheme of repayment as SD has not been sincere and cooperative enough to respond to the queries made from the auditors but making it difficult for the external auditors to carry out their audit efficiently and effectively from day 1

The creditors are casting doubts on how and what the SD would be able to revive without constructive plans. All the projects mentioned by SD require substantial funds/working capital etc . How these funds can be obtained is questionable, hence SD is destined to be doomed....
