Due to ESG compliance , both foreign funds and local institution like KWAP, EPF shunned this stock and are selling down . Retail investors are weak to absorb the sell down. As a result, I think the share price will remain depressed for a while despite good earnings and dividend.

Lack of buyers , any sell down by funds or manipulation by syndicate can easily dampen the share price of big guys like Simepltn, IOI and genp . Share price of the mid size and small plantations are a lot more stable without foreign and local funds as shareholders.

Palm is still needed for domestic requirements and within Asia. Also with increasing biorefineries globally, palm (CPO, PFAD, Palm waste) will still be main source of feedstock in Asia and in other countries in this coming 5-10 years before switching to some sustainable feedstock ( at least for Europe and US). And with a strong balance sheet, it should be a good stock
