When Anwar Ibrahim said that the first country he will visit when he becomes PM is Singapore, it clearly set a tone that he is focusing on warm relation with it's close neighbor and alliance to US! Singapore is strategic partner of US! By telling the world that Malaysia appreciate Singapore, it also telling US that Malaysia wants to be another strategic partner! We all know Anwar Ibrahim has extensive network of friends with democrat politicians! In fact bringing US investors to Malaysia is walk in the park for Anwar! And given Donald poor rating recently, it's already expected that Democrat will win US midterm election in November! Which means Democrat will have good chance of winning US presidency in 2 years from now! So yes, Malaysia need Anwar Ibrahim! And Anwar need to focus on economy and reform agenda! Anwar also need both Rafizi and Azmin! Once the PKR election is over, it's best to close this chapter and move forward!
