Back in the 80s, you hardly see any malaysian who are fat or walking around with big belly! Today, you see tons! Regardless of race! But predominately, majority malays are indeed fatter nowadays compare to old days!
No, i am not trying to be racism here! Its' just that majority malays are big eaters! They just take too much of everything! Too much santan, too much beef, too much oil, too much sugar and so forth! It's just the way they cook their meals!
And making things worst, we also bombarded with oily and fatty fast food left and right! I tell you, if i don't control myself, i think i would be 30kg overweight by now! The amount of fast food been offered nowadays are just mind boggling!
Chinese food are different! Our fast food are very healthy! We take our hainan chicken rice with a bowl of broth! In fact almost all our hawker fare are serve with healthy bowl of broth! Broth is a slow process of boiling bones until the soup is soak in rich collagen!
I heard some totally misinform people that taking beef noodle will cause many health issue! Wrong! Beef broth with noodle is a very healthy meal! In fact you should take beef broth noodle once a week! Your body will thank you for keeping highly nutrient meal! Chinese fast food are low in fat, low in oil, low in sugar and so forth!
But one thing i hope everybody will practice is that, we should not take too much food! Sufficient for our body to eat one small bowl of rice top with vege and meat!
Actually eating small portion is also known as deficit diet! Slowly but surely, you then to lose unwanted weight! And you will see you fat belly disappear! That big fat belly is due to eating huge portion everytime you eat! So you body end up storing them as fat!
Hihihaha! Dude, unless you have very high metabolism, then of course small serving is not for you! Come on, most of us eat more than what we need! 'Tambah nasi' is the normal phase here! As for our brain, we need plenty of protein! 2 half boil eggs every morning is more than sufficient!
Actually, one cup of coffee and 2 half boil eggs every morning is the ideal meal! But you know, then there's the bacon, the nasi lemak, the generously buttered bread, and not forgetting another round of roti! Those heavy morning meals are meant for those working hard like manual labours! But for the rest of us who don't use our physical body to make money, we should eat alot less!
Mahathir got it right! Just that he said to stop eating before you get full! But i think what he actually meant is to eat small portion at a time! China has perfected this long time ago! That is why chinese invented the small rice bowl! That's the right portion of rice to take! But no! We idolize american food culture! Big is good! Oil is good! Salt is good! double portion is good! Learn to eat small portion! Understand our body better! Because everytime you 'tambah nasi', it also means our digestive system will work overtime!

Answer : Hihihaha! I am not praising China and insulting the rest of the world like Q3! I am just saying that the rice bowl is the best measurement cup of how much rice should we eat per serving!
