KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit ended higher against the US dollar yesterday, following lacklustre US economic data which pushed down Treasury yields and weakened the greenback, a dealer said.
At 5pm, the ringgit was quoted at 3.3450/3480 against 3.3500/3520 on Wednesday.
However, the ringgit was traded mostly lower against other major currencies.
The ringgit decreased against the Singapore dollar to 2.5764/5805 from 2.5734/5769 on Wednesday and eased against the yen to 2.8468/8506 from 2.8424/8445 previously.
The local unit slid against the British pound to 5.2771/2835 from 5.2618/2663 on Wednesday but inched up against the euro to 4.1766/1806 from 4.1778/1809. Bernama
