Over the past 6 months gold prices have gone up by 18%. How have the Bursa gold related companies performed?
The top chart shows the share price gain for the 4 Bursa companies with gold-related businesses. The bottom chart shows that maybe there is still some potential for gold price to go higher.

You can see that except for Niche Capital Emas, the other 3 have outperformed gold and the KLCI. What does this mean for the investor?
• You can of course interpret that Niche Capital Emas and Poh Kong share price has yet to catch up.
• You can also conclude that when gold price goes up, the share price of these companies go up much higher.

Glittering share price!!! Unfortunately, shareholder meeting saw two dry, stale sandwiches with pauper portions of tuna despite the supposed high class-ness of the venue (Bukit Kiara Resort). Satisfied that I successfully (& mightily) resisted the tempation to run as it smashed its all-time record high of $1.80 in the past 2 days!!!🤗

a quick scan though all gold related, tomei seems to be a better deal at the point of writing. pohkong already up 11% while tomei only 3%. Will do some analysis and share here. very interesting development in the middle east.

Actually more like 54% returns since I averaged UP @ $1.39 last year just b4 the previous dividend. Today, I notice my long position in Tsutsumi Jewelry(@¥2,128), is back in the black after recent profit-taking...has more upside than either Tomei/Pohkong since its all time high was ¥11,200 back in 1994 & ¥5,450 back in 2006.
Worth holding until Gold reaches at least $2,800-3,000!

sold all tomei at RM1.78 (20 june 2024, 2.30pm t-price), switched all to POHKONG. top up more POHKONG because POHKONG QR is a lot better, overally POHKONG improved a lot more compare to TOMEI
