Market correction, run or buy?

Looking for that rare combination, where companies exhibit signs of above-average growth whilst trading at undervalued prices due to market mispricings. Hence, value growth investing.

US stocks dropped more than 1% yesterday, so does this mean the party is over? Is it time to put your money in FD and go to the beach and sip on cocktails, watch the waves crash against the sand and oogle at girls or guys in bathing suits?

The answer in my opinion is NO. Now is the time to be the busiest, we are only getting started. We are in an early bull cycle, you may disagree with me now but soon you will see that I am proven right. 3 simple reasons: GDP is picking up, it is an election year and foreigners are buying emerging market assets. Noise will always remain. This is not the time for a financial crisis, yet.

So, keep your pants on guys and girls. Avoid the picks that are obviously (you know it) pump and dump. Stick to solid companies and focus on current themes. Ones I like are:

1) Election counters

2) MYR strengthening beneficiaries

3) Affordable property developers with public transport

4) Technology companies with competitive advantages

Remember, you can be lazy but make sure your money isn't.

Remember `Sell in May and go away'? It may happen this year, so please be on your guard. Moreover, it may start in April!

This bull run will last until July or August. Carpe diem! Seize the coming days of the bull.

Look at today. Malaysia was best performing Emerging market in Asia. Pared losses very well. Good thing for us now US investors will start buying Emerging Asia equities. The party is just started boys and girls! Don't buy stocks with heavy momentum on speculation. Buy those stocks consolidating at low levels that you're foresee can turnaround.

Yup good advice but for me I include one more thing - I'm starting to clear some of my longkangs with this bull run n continue to stay invested as always in the good ones. Actually I bought more of GenM during yesterday sales n if today got some more I'll buy more :)

Agreed, gohkimhock, my first golden rule is to protect my capital, whenever I sell my shares, I still can get back my money, if not more, then not less.
