Today we go beyond the headlines of the political crisis in Brazil and the impeachment process that has been initiated by the BRIC nation’s legislature. We look at how the convergence of a loss of political support and a weak economic environment has made the position of President Dilma Rousseff untenable. We also ask what changes and what remains of the social agenda put in place when Rousseff’s party came to power in 2003.
