The Singapore government announced this month that beginning next May, the city-state’s public servants will be blocked from using the internet on work computers. This move is reportedly a measure to cope with increasing security threats. Is this a classic example of using a sledgehammer to kill a fly or is Singapore at the forefront of cyber security. We speak to security expert Keith Rozario about the rationale behind Singapore’s decision and whether it will be followed by other countries in the near future.
