South Africans opened their hearts and pockets after a viral video of an unknown man proposing to his girlfriend in a KFC went viral on Thursday. By Friday morning, the couple were showered with donations for their dream wedding. But how many of the companies that offered their services were being altruistic, and how many of them were taking advantage of emotional advertising for free publicity? And does it really matter?
