Sabah and Sarawak are one of the least developed and poorest states in Malaysia. Prime Minister candidate under Pakatan Harapan, Dato Seri Shafie Apdal, has ambitions to turn Borneo into an economic hub. Dr. Firdausi Suffian, Senior Lecturer in Public Policy, UiTM Sabah discusses the feasibility and reforms that are much needed in both states.
