Referencing a Korean news site, Android Authority reported on Jan 10 that the names of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy flagship smartphones will be the Galaxy S20, instead of the Galaxy S11, and the Galaxy Bloom, instead of the Galaxy Fold 2.

During not-so-private private meetings between Samsung representatives and telecom partners that took place "on the sidelines" of the recently concluded 2020 Consumer Electronics Show, employees of tech giant not only showed off the teased devices in person but also confirmed their names.

Rather than the S series smartphones being called the Galaxy S11 series, they will be called Galaxy S20 series models (S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra) just as rumours over the past few weeks have been suggesting. The successor of the Galaxy Fold will actually be called the Galaxy Bloom instead of the Galaxy Fold 2. Both names were confirmed by the company's chief DJ Koh.

Koh also stated in "private" that the Bloom was inspired by Lancome makeup compacts. It's expected to be available with either 4G or 5G connectivity as well as, like the S20 series, 8K video recording.

As per the invitations sent out late last week, both devices will be officially unveiled on Feb 11.
