Google CEO Sundar Pichai has confirmed that the company's next developer conference will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in California from May 12 to 14.

Instead of announcing the date of the next I/O developer conference by sending out invitations or publishing a social media post like most companies do, Google instead launched a collaborative online puzzle that, once completed by the public, revealed the dates of I/O 2020: May 12,13 and 14.

The event will be taking place in Mountain View, California, at the Shoreline Amphitheatre not far from the company's headquarters.

At I/O 2019, the reveal of the Pixel 3A and 3A XL was one of the biggest announcements made at the event. Along with this news, Google also outlined changes coming to Search, the Google Assistant, and the mobile operating system among others. At this year's conference, the company may likewise unveil the rumoured budget version of the Pixel 4; as of right now, however, the company has not commented on such a launch.

With the conference still a few months away, what will be announced is almost entirely unknown. Nevertheless, the company will doubtlessly have new hardware to show and smarter, faster technology to demonstrate.
