Taiwan digging its own grave, so as TSMC. Once 3nm, 4nm, 5nm all produce in US, TSMC chips cannot sell to the world biggest customer, i.e. China, but only can sell to US and its machai. TSMC ball will be squeezed if not taking order from the US. Again Taiwan survival will no more critical to the US and its machai, can let it fall and die, who care?

Very simple answer: There are 60,000 engineers in TSMC all master and above, and Taiwan is only sending 1000 to US. Secondly, US is roughly 4 years behind in every categories.

Why should the engineers wanted to do what US said ? Remember if engineers are in US will no longer possible out from US territory and so is returning to their homeland or going to other countries.
