MOSCOW, Aug. 6 -- Russia's tax revenues increased by 31 percent year-on-year in the first six months of 2024, reaching almost 27 trillion rubles (about 315 billion U.S. dollars), head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia (FTS) Daniil Egorov said on Tuesday.

"There is a growth of 31 percent, which is 6.4 trillion rubles (around 75 billion U.S. dollars) in absolute figures," Egorov said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, adding that consolidated tax budget revenues increased by 28.4 percent.

Oil and gas revenues rose by 43.4 percent in the first half of 2024, or 3.7 trillion rubles (around 43.1 billion U.S. dollars), he noted.

"We predict that the budget will be fulfilled by the end of the year. We do not see any significant problems here," he added.
